Please avoid edit wars and use the talk page to discuss issues. As I warned you earlier, I have now reported this situation at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#Edit War/NPOV issues in the hopes that a better way forward can be found. Your recent editing history at falsetto shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. 4meter4 (talk) 21:08, 31 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Close paraphrasing/plagiarism

Your addition to falsetto has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. 4meter4 (talk) 21:13, 31 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring, as you did at Falsetto. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.  King of 00:12, 1 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

blocking

[edit]

You are a company of wankers. instead you accept a new info you block me. I wish happy New Year to wiko)ipedia and all the wankers around. The main wanker is 4meter4. FUCK YOU ALL Carlmarche (talk) 02:25, 1 January 2013 (UTC) I have provided you by some new info regarding falsetto which wankers like 4meter4 cannot acceept simply because they think they know everything. I do not get shit about wikipedia any more because you are unable to avoid wankers like 4meter4. Feel free to mention the shit around the world. Feel free to block me for ever!Carlmarche (talk) 02:33, 1 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Here's the issue. You copied your "new info regarding falsetto" from another source. Who told you you could copy whatever you want? Do you know what plagarism is? How do you think the person who created the material you copied would feel if he knew you copied it and tried to pass it off as yours? gwickwiretalkedits 03:28, 1 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Qwickwire, I don't think he went so far as to pass it off as his own since he did provide citations to the published sources with accurate page numbers etc. I do think his edits were made originally in good faith. The fact that he used closely paraphased or verbatim copy pasted text was more out of ignorance in my opinion than malicious intent. However, the fact that Carlmarche restored the content once warned of copyright infringement does show bad faith on his part and is a perfect example of his unfortunate tendency to completely ignore editors that disagree with him.4meter4 (talk) 06:37, 1 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
One would say that wikipedia editors will be starving to get a new information. You starving to avoid and block to whom is providing any. Instead of to give a hand with it, you seeking reasons for not to provide it. How many reasons did you think off in the last 2 days, 4meter4?. That is how wikipedia works. I can see it. I was fairly drunk when writing that words above. It is actually not nice to call somebody like that is it? But now I can see the same, that you are wankers. FUCK YOU ;O) Block me for ever, i do not give shit Carlmarche (talk) 11:06, 1 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Extended block

[edit]

Maybe when you sober up, you'll re-read Wikipedia's policies on WP:CONSENSUS, no personal attacks, the entire 5 pillars of Wikipedia, WP:COPYRIGHT and a few other important aspects of this project. You'll have about 3 days to do so - and this is not indefinite because I have faith that you actually intend to contribute to this project, and that you actually can contribute properly (✉→BWilkins←✎) 12:46, 1 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I may assure you that I am sober by now. Somehow I still don't give a shit. So please, block me for as long as you like but mainly, leave me be. Why should I do research, giving it for free and even have to fight for it with idiots like 4meter4, who instead of put the citation to quotation marks he delete it and than another idiot blocks me for no reason? I sing profesionaly, I sing falsetto whole my life, never heard it is breathy and never heard any breathy falsetto at all even from countertenor - who DO NOT sing falsetto which I do simply because it would be technically impossible for them! But 4meter4 has in his article, he has there that it is breathy, so it must be truth. Good bye Carlmarche (talk) 13:23, 1 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Look, what you're telling us above is original research. Some of the other items you inserted into the article were massive copyright violations, and close paraphrasing of a source. You surely don't intend to put Wikipedia into legal trouble, do you? Things you put into the article were removed not necessarily because anyone believes the content you added was wrong, it's because you put Wikipedia in a legal corner. Wikipedia is a community, and have a concept of WP:CONSENSUS (which often trumps what sources say, by the way). You were blocked for a very good reason - 3 of them in fact: copyright violations, edit-warring to get your way, and personal attacks - those are the big 3 around here. Look, everyone around here is trying to HELP you to contribute - it's clear you have stuff to add. But we have rules that need to be followed in these cases - simply putting something in quotes doesn't cut it - you were merely asked to re-phrase it in your own words and re-add. (✉→BWilkins←✎) 13:46, 1 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
As a musician, you of all people should understand the importance of copyright. If you put the lyrics of a song you wrote on your Facebook page and then a week later, Justin Bieber was singing it and claiming it as his own, you'd be pretty pissed, right? That is the problem that you were initially blocked for. Your completely uncivil reaction to that got your block extended. Wikipedia could use more professional musicians as editors. I hope that after you have had a day or two to cool off you will reconsider. As BWilkins explained above, we are a collaborative project. Everyone, even Jimbo himself, gets their edits reverted from time to time. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and as such, only reports on what others have written. Your extensive knowledge of singing can serve as a guide for your research, but unless your knowledge has been published somewhere, you cannot use it as a source for edits on Wikipedia. By the way, I have a question. Are you familiar with the Southern Gospel tenor, David Phelps? He has a huge range, and his falsetto sounds pretty breathy to me. Am I not understanding the term "breathy"? When your block is up, I will be happy to help you with any technical issues you may have. Wikipedia's many policies, guidelines and traditions are very confusing for new editors. I will be happy to guide you through that minefield. I have also dropped a link to a forum here on Wikipedia that is especially designed to help newer editors figure Wikipedia out. Best of luck, and we really do want you to come back. Gtwfan52 (talk) 23:15, 1 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks but I have no time to learn any rules. Specially not because of people like 4meter4. I have no time to compete in rules. Regarding your request. Did hear two songs of Phelps. Haven't hear any falsetto. Can you tell me which song, please?Carlmarche (talk) 21:34, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
