Google Code-In 2019 is coming - please mentor some documentation tasks!

[edit]

Hello,

Google Code-In, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia.

I would like to ask you to take part in Google Code-In as a mentor. That would mean to prepare at least one task (it can be documentation related, or something else - the other categories are Code, Design, Quality Assurance and Outreach) for the participants, and help the student to complete it. Please sign up at the contest page and send us your Google account address to google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org, so we can invite you in!

From my own experience, Google Code-In can be fun, you can make several new friends, attract new people to your wiki and make them part of your community.

If you have any questions, please let us know at google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org.

Thank you!

January 2022

[edit]

Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Snes9x, you may be blocked from editing. Please stop coming back every few months to mark software products as discontinued without any sourcing. Arbitrary periods of inactiveness is not an indicator that can be used to cite this. It's WP:OR. -- ferret (talk) 16:47, 14 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I find myself quite insulted. First of all, I ask that you remove your personal statements about me. Secondly, shouldn't you have written this warning to the user that did the first undoing? It might be interpreted that you only write this to the undoes that you don't like.
In any case, I've added a debate about this in the article's talk page. -Cardace (talk) 17:37, 14 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
What personal attacks? Drmies (talk) 17:43, 14 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
"Please stop coming back every few months to...". It's not exactly an attempt to improve the Snes9x article. -Cardace (talk) 17:46, 14 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
No, it's an attempt to get you to stop coming back every few months to reinstate your incorrect edits. Which you have done three times at DOSBox. -- ferret (talk) 18:11, 14 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
What ferret said. That is NOT a personal attack, not at all. Drmies (talk) 18:12, 14 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I suggest you read the aforementioned guideline and stop this. -Cardace (talk) 18:29, 14 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You're very much mistaken on this point. Do not mark any more software pages as discontinued without a proper source. If you do, you will find yourself blocked. -- ferret (talk) 19:48, 14 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm NeoBatfreak. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Ghostbusters: Afterlife have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. NeoBatfreak (talk) 16:39, 14 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Could you please explain yourself? The plot you reverted states things the film never showed (e.g. it wasn't anywhere if they were married). -Cardace (talk) 22:24, 19 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
We don't need to add trivial things like Gozer again asking the Ghostbusters if they are gods or peter's psychic tests, as the plot summary wasn't meant to recreate the experience of watching the movie. Plus, Peter and Dana are wearing wedding bond on their fingers, indicating that they are married, even Winston has a wedding ring of his own plus he mentioned that he has kids. Even the behind the scenes footages and interviews confirmed that they are husband and wife, even Sigourney Weaver acknowledged it.--NeoBatfreak (talk) 18:13, 21 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
