[edit]Hello, I'm Redrose64. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. --Redrose64 (talk) 09:00, 7 August 2015 (UTC)
- Is it ok if I note that he is one of very few BBC executives who do not have either an email address in either the normal format firstname.lastname@bbc.co.uk or a published less obvious alternative email address without speculating on the reasons why that may be the case? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Capvermell (talk • contribs) 09:14, 7 August 2015

- I'm not a WikiGeek like you (just someone with opinions) so I have no idea what all those policies are from the abbreviations you have given. Perhaps you could have set them out in plain English for me. But that's clearly like hoping you can edit a Wikipedia page without having to know all kinds of outdated computer code about formatting the content and links etc.
- So cutting a long story short to become more like a conventional Encylopedia Wikipedia has decided to protect the entries of gods like senior BBC Executives or senior politicians from edits or input by ordinary mortals. There are thousands of other Wikipedia person pages where I could make such an edit without a challenge either at all or at least for many months. What this guy is doing in having no email address as a person paid by me and other licence payers at the top of the tree is quite outrageous but you seem content to support such behaviour!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Capvermell (talk • contribs) 09:58, 7 August 2015
- To find out what those abbreviations mean, click on them. They're all links to policy documents. If you don't know what a Wikipedia policy is, visit WP:POLICY. Abiding by policies does not mean that I support the behaviour of anybody who is the subject of one of our articles.
- Also, please sign your posts, you can do this using four tilde characters thus
~~~~
- more on that at WP:SIGN. --Redrose64 (talk) 11:07, 7 August 2015 (UTC)
