Slotback
[edit]Hi Captain Spleen. Thanks for creating the Slotback (Football) article. I wonder if you might recreate that article instead, however, at Slotback. There is really no need to have the disambiguator "(football)", which should be lower-case incidentally, since the football position is the primary meaning of the term. Simply overwrite the redirect at Slotback with your article. I ask you to do it since by GFDL rules, author history must be maintained and, at this point you are the sole author. To move your article to Slotback would otherwise require administrator assistance.
You might also be interested in joining WikiProject Canadian football, where we discuss and co-operate in improving Wikipedia's coverage of Canadian football. Cheers! DoubleBlue (Talk) 22:04, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
- Hi. I noticed you changed the Slotback redirect to point to Slotback (Football). That is not what I meant. There is really no need to not have the article at Slotback. Could you simply copy/paste ypur article at Slotback instead? Normally copy/pasting is not permitted to move an article but since you are the sole author, it would be permissible for you to do it and avoid a more complicated move with admin assistance, Thanks, DoubleBlue (Talk) 22:17, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

im planning to try and expand it soon.Captain Spleen (talk) 20:44, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
- I look forward to it. Cheers! DoubleBlue (Talk) 20:57, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
if you know of anyone who would be interested in adding some extra stuff to the page can you let them know? thanks. Captain Spleen (talk) 21:21, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
- Yup. P.S. I love potatoes! :-) DoubleBlue (Talk) 21:40, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
Wow we have so much in common. lets have a potato oriented party with potato salad and french fries. man, i just can't get enough potatoes. Captain Spleen (talk) 21:51, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
Userboxes are slightly frowned upon by some Wikipedians as being too "myspace"-y and too little about writing an encyclopedia but you may like some of these for your User page anyway:

[edit]The answer to "how is Green Bay" today is hot - we were near 90 yesterday. That won't last long. Otherwise, some folks are still in mourning here over Brett Favre, but they'll come around with a win or two.DrBear (talk) 18:37, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
Sweet. maybe now the jets won't suck so bad now though. say hi to green bay for me. Captain Spleen (talk) 19:43, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
Two reminders
[edit]Spleen, I wanted to point out two things on our talk page guidelines for your edification.
- Remember to sign posts you make on talk pages. This makes it easier for other users to respond to what you have to say.
- The talk pages are to discuss the article, and not the topic itself. Editorializing, such as the first part of your comment here and your comment here, is not acceptable.
Let me know if you have any questions. caknuck ° is geared up for football season 17:53, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
Fine maybe i shouldn't have been so personal. Captain Spleen (talk) 21:42, 10 September 2008 (UTC)
Re: quit it
[edit]Are you sure? For example, I doubt that this edit is constructive. It seems that you are removing useful content about the development of production and distribution of turkey. Also, whenever you remove content, leave an edit summary so those monitoring recent changes can identify that it was constructive. Mm40 (talk) 16:13, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
- First of all, sign your comments on talk pages with four tildes ~~~~. Next, although that section does focus on Europe, the correct way to remedy this is not to remove it. It's to add additional information to be there along with the European stuff. With that edit, you were making the article less comprehensive, not more. Mm40 (talk) 16:21, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
