Ariana Afghan Airlines Flight 701

Hi I have just put on Ariana Afghan Airlines Flight 701 and i realy don't want this to be deleted. Becuase this is one of the worst air accidents in the UK involing a Boeing 727 aircaft. I have tryed to find references to the accident. Most of my work on wikipedia is aviation accidents mostly in the United Kingdom and terrorsit incidents i am trying to find more information. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ryan kirkpatrick (talkcontribs) 20:45, 2 March 2010 (UTC)

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Quintus Fulvius Flaccus (disambiguation). We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Quintus Fulvius Flaccus (disambiguation). Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:03, 14 January 2010 (UTC)

Battle of Ambos Nogales

Hello, Some more work has been completed on the Battle of Ambos Nogales. Would you be so kind to re-rate this article? Please advise what else is needed for a B rating. Thank you. Jrcrin001 (talk) 07:05, 22 January 2010 (UTC)

Nothing. Thanks for polishing up the article. -Canglesea (talk) 04:29, 23 January 2010 (UTC)

GP Express Flight 861

Hi Canglesea, thank you for taking time to rate two of my Alabama airplane accident articles. I would appreciate your help by providing some feedback of what specifically more is needed to bring GP Express Flight 861 up to a B and also L'Express Airlines Flight 508 (which you have not reviewed) up to an A. Thank you and best wishes. Civilengtiger (talk) 04:27, 1 February 2010 (UTC)

Pan Am Flight 526A

Hi Canglesea, I just started editing Wiki and don't know all the details yet. I think you rated Pan Am Flight 526A start class. I've been working on this article and would greatly appreciate if you could take the time to have a look at it again and give me some feedback and maybe re-rate the article.
Thank you and have a nice day! WideBlueSky (talk) 14:43, 9 February 2010 (UTC)

Wikiwings

Wikiwings 2.0
Wikiwings 2.0

Wikiwings are the official award of WikiProject Aircraft. Styled after military flight wings, they are awarded to anyone who makes extensive, high-quality, or generally valued contributions to the area of aviation on Wikipedia. They can be awarded by anyone, to anyone, in a barnstar-like fashion.

The wikiwings award is modelled after Rlandmann's wikiwings award, and were officially adopted by WikiProject Aircraft on October 29, 2005.

Canglesea, I have awarded you with Wikiwings for your contributions to Aviation on Wikipedia. Congratulations!

Many thanks for your thanks

I appreciate your praise for the Roderic Dallas article. I hope I do not dim its luster when I mention that the Dallas article is what I consider a minor part of my achievement. He is only one of 800+ articles I have written for Wikipedia. I am much prouder of the fact that I am the predominant author of bios of WWI flying aces (me: 807 at last count; everyone else: 723). I intend to write an article on every notable ace (only 313 to go). I am also constantly improving articles in the subject field.

Still, I was happy to discover Stan Dallas, a hero after my own heart.

You are now a Reviewer

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 19:15, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

Response to Response

I don't at all agree that my articles do not meet the criteria you cited but I'm not inclined to keep arguing about it. I asked you what could be said about those airports that I din't say and you did not answer the question. These are small rural airports and there just isn't that much than can be said about them. Can you point me to articles about similar airports that you think meet the criteria you cited? What is it that is 'conspicuously missing'?Dwight Burdette (talk) 10:34, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

Marechal Rondon International Airport

Many thanks for checking all the articles about airports in Brazil that I've been creating lately. It came to my attention the article about Marechal Rondon International Airport, created on August 19, 2007 - not by me - and which has never been rated or got a discussion page. Maybe you could solve this. BRGDS (Brunoptsem (talk) 09:30, 17 September 2010 (UTC))

Done! Thanks for pointing it out, and thanks for filling in the airport gaps in Brazil. -Canglesea (talk) 16:38, 21 September 2010 (UTC)

More Airports in Brazil

Dear Canglesea, Heartly thanks for checking and adding discussion pages on new articles about Brazilian Airports. I've noticed the following older ones, which still need your check: Caçador Airport, Joaçaba Airport, Canoas Air Force Base, Santa Maria Air Force Base, Florianópolis Air Force Base. This will end this phase of the work on the Southern Region. I will have a rest but plan to resume soon the work targeting the Southeast Region. BRGDS, (Brunoptsem (talk) 23:24, 9 October 2010 (UTC)) Please consider also the later addition Erechim Airport. Thanks (Brunoptsem (talk) 12:19, 11 October 2010 (UTC))

Done! -Canglesea (talk) 14:23, 11 October 2010 (UTC)

C.W.A. Scott artical may be ready for reclassification

Hi, I notice that in January 2010 you and User:MilborneOne rated the page C.W.A. Scott as a b class artical on its talk page Talk:C.W.A. Scott which was appropriate at the time. Since then I have added about 5000 words and many references and links etc... and generaly made the artical alot better (in my opinion) so I thought it may be a good time to get you to put it up for a fresh rating so that you, or you and others can decide which class the artical has now reached. many thanks Jimmy3d0 (talk) 19:28, 4 December 2010 (UTC)

I have also put the same comment on User talk:MilborneOne now as he was the person who nominated it last time. just so you know he may also be dealing with it. Cheers Jimmy3d0 (talk) 20:06, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
I have taken the liberty of requesting a peer review: Wikipedia:WikiProject Aviation/Peer review. This is the next step in the accession process. After the peer review is completed, I hope you will submit the article for a formal A Class or GA Class Review. Cheers - Canglesea (talk) 04:35, 5 December 2010 (UTC)
That's great! Thankyou Canglesea I very much appreciate your help and advice as I am unfamilia with the process for getting an artical up to A class or GA class status, But it sounds like the peer review will get the artical more coverage (within Wiki) and ideas for improvement may arrise from it, then I can nominate the artical for an A Class or GA Class Review, which will be really good! Is there anything else I should do at this point in terms of getting involved in the peer review or should I just let people get on with it and see what transpires? Many thanks again for your help! Jimmy3d0 (talk) 14:14, 5 December 2010 (UTC)
We can always use more peer reviewers, like yourself, for reviewing other peoples articles. If that interests you, just jump right in! - Canglesea (talk) 08:04, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
