[edit] When adding links to material on external sites, as you did to La Blue Girl, please ensure that the external site is not violating the creator's copyright. Linking to websites that display copyrighted works is acceptable as long as the website's operator has created or licensed the work. Knowingly directing others to a site that violates copyright may be considered contributory infringement. This is particularly relevant when linking to sites such as YouTube, where due care should be taken to avoid linking to material that violates its creator's copyright. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If you believe the linked site is not violating copyright with respect to the material, then you should do one of the following:
- If the linked site is the copyright holder, leave a message explaining the details on the article Talk page;
- If a note on the linked site credibly claims permission to host the material, or a note on the copyright holder's site grants such permission, leave a note on the article Talk page with a link to where we can find that note;
- If you are the copyright holder or the external site administrator, adjust the linked site to indicate permission as above and leave a note on the article Talk page;
If the material is available on a different site that satisfies one of the above conditions, link to that site instead. —Farix (t | c) 10:38, 15 June 2011 (UTC)
RE: Sentou Gakuen
[edit]Hi, I've restored this article to User:Canestenmobile/Sentou Gakuen - please update it there. I'll move it into proper article space once the game is notable enough. :) Thanks! — Joseph Fox 03:53, 4 November 2011 (UTC)
- Have a read of the general notability guidelines, in particular the specific one for video games (that's not a guideline, but is still useful). — Joseph Fox 04:04, 4 November 2011 (UTC)
- I have the page on watch, but you'd be better to let me know when you think the article is ready (maybe when it's close to release). :) — Joseph Fox 04:27, 4 November 2011 (UTC)
As far as I can tell you've just re-created the exact same page that was deleted before, still sourced entirely from press releases, and still clearly written by someone working on the game. Is there any reason it shouldn't be immediately re-deleted? - AmethystPhoenix (talk) 22:23, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
You edited the page slightly while it was in your userspace, but the other people who were helping you with it there told you to stop and wait until the game was out so that there might actually be coverage that would meet reliability and notability. All your "sources" are doing nothing but reciting the information from your press releases. This is still the case. Your changes do not address the problem. Wait until the game is officially released and has reviews talking about its actual merits. (And no, I didn't hit the speedy button, but I would have if it hadn't been done before I got here.) - AmethystPhoenix (talk) 02:04, 19 December 2011 (UTC)
