An award for you

The Exceptional Newcomer Award
For your excellent judo-related contributions, I present to you this award. Keep up the good work. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 19:34, 1 September 2012 (UTC)

Great, thanks! :) CanadianJudoka (talk) 20:02, 1 September 2012 (UTC)

Setting custom widths in Template:Gallery

I have expanded Template:Gallery to allow setting a custom width on any image which seems too large in the gallery. The example that I used has reduced the size of image 4, the U.S. one-dollar bill (), by using "width4=170" so that image will fit better with the other images. See: Template:Gallery/doc for that example. -Wikid77 (talk) 13:15, 30 September 2012 (UTC)

I'm not sure why you told me this, because I've never used that template. The other message about the 'summary' parameter for tables is useful, but again I'm not sure what prompted it. CanadianJudoka (talk) 16:38, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
You had asked questions about tables at wp:PUMPTECH#Table footer, about the "summary=" attribute, but I see you have not used the {Gallery} template for tables of images. -Wikid77 (talk) 20:50, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
I asked whether it was possible to create a table footer, but I don't recall discussing (or knowing about) the summary parameter until now. It doesn't matter, though, because I learned something. :) I just wanted to make sure that these messages weren't intended for someone else. CanadianJudoka (talk) 21:41, 30 September 2012 (UTC)

Attribute 'summary=' has non-visible text for screen readers

The "summary=" attribute of the table element makes this information available to people who use screen readers; the information is not displayed visually. A longer description of a table can be provided (beyond the title), via the summary attribute, for the benefit of people who use speech or Braille-based user agents.

(...coffee data goes here...)
<TABLE border="1" width=250 summary="This table charts cups of coffee">
<tr><td align=center> (...coffee data goes here...)</td></tr>
</table>

For the vast majority of users, the "summary=" attribute is of little value, whereas a table-footer line could be viewed by them, or processed by a screen reader to inform each user about the table contents. -Wikid77 (talk) 13:15, 30 September 2012 (UTC)

Your question regarding statistics

Hi,

I noticed you posted a question a while ago, so thought you may want to know that user:Henrik no longer appears to be active on Wikipedia, very unfortunately in my opinion. Ottawahitech (talk) 19:26, 4 October 2012 (UTC)

Thanks. I actually decided that must be the case today and stopped watching his user page. CanadianJudoka (talk) 19:56, 4 October 2012 (UTC)
