Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. An article you recently created, Motor silk, has been tagged for speedy deletion because its content is clearly written to promote a company, product, or service. This article may have been deleted by the time you see this message. Please keep in mind that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not an advertising service. Thank you. Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming, and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising. Thanks. Shawnc 17:22, 12 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The article The West Rockers you have recently written may not meet Wikipedia's generally accepted criteria for inclusion of bands, musicians, or musical acts. It has likely been marked for deletion. Don't worry, there are several other options:

  • Create an entry for your band on one of the many social networking websites.
  • Many ISPs allow you to create your own website, often at no extra charge.

With the above options your band's page will be protected from being edited by others, unlike a Wikipedia article (which may be edited by anyone).

Thanks and welcome to Wikipedia! Please feel free to delete this notice once the issue has been corrected.

Wikipedia is not a place to promote your band, sorry. Friday (talk) 15:33, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, then. Wikipedia is not a place to "get bands discovered". Wikipedia is for things that have already been discovered and covered significantly in multiple independent sources. Friday (talk) 15:43, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
