Since t our only contribution so far is two articles about officials in the same company, it is reasonable to ask whether this is just a personal interest, or whether you are a connected contributor – in which case you must declare the connection. Hi. I am working in Cambridge within the university and charity sector so I know of lots of the Cambridge angels and philanthropists and have met some of them. Many of them have contributed to the university or university connected programmes. I’ve been wanting to learn how to do Wikipedia articles for a while and thought this was a good place to start. Does meeting someone mean you are connected? How close does someone have to be before you declare a connection or an interest? I did have a look at the conflict of interest section but will look again. I have also edited the Silicon Fen page, adding Ewan Kirk, David Cleevely, Dick Newell, and Sherry Coutu who are all on Wikipedia but were missing, and I can see that there are many others missing. My next thought was to help to clean up the Silicon Fen page because it looks as though it has issues. I’m very new to this - I have more time free during lockdown so I thought it was a good time to start contributing. So it’s really helpful to have feedback. Someone removed “tragically”, which I had picked up from a newspaper article, saying Wikipedia is not Hello magazine - which was a point well made. Hi DGG I’m nit sure where to reply to the review so replying here. Thank you very much for reviewing so quickly. I have removed a lot of the article in an attempt to drop back to things which are less “newspaper article” - which was a very fair point since I guess it was a précis of the stuff that I had read in the articles rather than the bare bones of the facts. If you review again and still feel it is too much of a “newspaper” article I would really appreciate knowing which bits are offending and whether there’s anything I can do to correct.
