Chi-Lites

[edit]

I added (For God's Sake) Give More Power to the People by the Chi-Lites, just like you requested. So you don't need to worry about it anymore. Eyeball kid 05:28, 5 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your alert - I added the article to my watchlist. However, I need to warn you that I'm not very active these days. BTW - does the system provide a way to avoid relying on somebody who never checks the recent changes? Common Man 08:52, 5 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I never watch any pages really but I suppose I should. I never found the watchlist useful but when you talk about as a way of reverting vandalism then I feel it is important. I will watch all pages as of now. Thanks for the advice - Erebus555 11:26, 5 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Who's watching?

[edit]

Great watch info, thanks

Am watching 11 (Harry Connick Jr. album) now

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately my own watchlist is pretty big already. If I were to watch all the year pages I started, I would be doing nothing much else. For your info, I mainly watch the more controversial of the history pages, eg. Richard III of England, Plaid Cymru, and one or two others that are special interests of mine, eg. Siegfried Sassoon. My interest was driven only by the fact that the page belonged to no category. I was merely plowing through Special:Uncategorizedpages. My watchlist has about 10 articles in it. I am going to leave that page to someone who cares more about Category:Boat types and has the expertise to make all those pages more uniform. -- Pinktulip 16:34, 5 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Because the article is near the top of My Contributions page, I have a way to monitor it without adding it to My Watchlist. Usually I watch my new articles within the first 100 recent contributes. So you can remove it from your watchlist if you so desire. --Cantthinkofausername 18:39, 5 February 2006 (UTC)

1897 in organized crime

Regarding your message, I've since added the article to my watchpage. Thanks for letting me know. MadMax 23:01, 5 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've added 1814 Constitution of Mexico to my watchlist. Gflores Talk 06:07, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your message regarding this article. I also have a rather long watchlist, and having created most of the articles in the architecture timeline, I prefer to keep an eye on them using the "recent changes" link from that article. Warofdreams talk 12:23, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I tend not to use my watchlist. You should probably go ahead and remove it from your watchlist -- it's not a high-traffic article, and since it is about a rather neutral subject, I would not think that it is very susectible to vandalism. Dylan 15:17, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

NYC Subway (125th St)

[edit]

I ususally don't use my watchlist as there are many who also edit these articles and keep an eye on them.

In the case of 125th St all I did was correct a spelling error (witch to which).

You should remove it from your watchlist as it is a minor article.

Added the Duran Duran song to my watchlist. It will help a lot. Thanks! Arbiteroftruth 19:40, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have been looking through the list of unwatched pages (available only to administrators) and found 1944 in comics. I see that you created this but were not watching it. You may want to go to your preferences and under the "editing" tab turn on "Add pages you edit to your watchlist". This will enable you to keep an eye out for any edits that are made to pages you create and help to revert vandalism. If you do decide to turn it on can you please drop me a note on my talk page so I can cut down my excessive watchlist (6000+). Thanks. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 18:33, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Dear CambridgeBayWeather

  • I know not of this mythical "watchlist" thou speak of but I will attempt to acquaint myself with it's strange and magical powers as soon as time permits me. I have thru the course of time created copious amounts of stubs in the portal of eternal fraternal love and I realize this may be somewhat disturbing to stressed admins who have to keep track of my diahrretic equibrilistic doings. For this I sincerely apologize and I will punish myself accordingly sacrificing any number of my slaves and/or siblings thou may require. Further, I hereby proclaim to the world that my watchlist shall hereby and henceforth be known as "Active Watchlist"!

  • May the Wiki be with us!

re NBA seasons article

[edit]

Thanks for pointing that out. I created the whole NBA seasons series, but I was certain that I put all of them into my watchlist. Apparantly I was wrong. Thanks again, and see you around Wikipedia!! Dknights411 20:43, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Watchlist

[edit]

Hello - yes I understand your concern. I was averse to a watchlist, fretting over a long list of articles indefinitely, but I accept my duty to fight vandalism and edits of a nefarious nature. May I compliment you on doing an excellent job as an administrator. Rama's Arrow 21:08, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
