Barney & Friends

[edit]

About "Let's Help Mother Goose!" Baby Bop, Hannah, and Princess Zulie doesn't appeared in that episode.

Actually, they did, as cameo appearances (aka guest stars). Maybe we should leave the cast alone for a little while, ok? Jonghyunchung 23:51, 2 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well watch the video and you will see that they don't appear.

The thing is I don't have the videos. If I did I would use the cast list from the credits and give that as the source. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 06:18, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I mean watch it on Youtube.

Is that for capital, as in where people live or by how much assets they have available? CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 11:14, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I was going to name it People by capital city, but seeing as that corresponding category is named Capitals and not Capital cities I chose its current name. Perhaps it should be speedy renamed. Punkmorten 11:16, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi

[edit]

Thank you for the message. I have posted a citation to our boing 757 on our webpage. Please feel free to visit our webpage and see for yourself http://www.flyzoom.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=pubDsp.dspFaq&intPageID=10 under point number 6 of what type of aircraft we fly, we have yet to publish this on our company info section. As well, in the wikipedia article of Zoom, it is incorrecthow you show the Canadian cities, i would prefer you leave vancouver at the top and Toronto at the botttom for that is the order the cities show up on a map of Canada. Many thanks, i look forward to working with you in the future!. Xulu8 18:05, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

And I'd expect you to offer the same courtesy , Bob. Please leave my citation alone, for i have more fact about this company than you do. Also, I will have you know that some of your sources are not very verified nor reputable. For instance, there was a plan for a 5th 767 but that was scrapped and replaced with our 757 we got from Harmony Airways. Look it up yourself if you don't believe me.

Hey, sorry!

[edit]

Hey i am sorry, it was just a bit of miscommunication. Time lag, when i saw you deleted my content, i got frustrated, but now i know you added it into the box, many thanks! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Xulu8 (talkcontribs) 18:28, 3 May 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Once again I do apologize.

Hey ,

so are you in the process right now of adding my info to the box? get back to me . :)

Hey How are you

[edit]

Hi, it's Xulu8 again, how is everything? I just thought I should bring to your attention that the following user "MilborneOne" keeps changing the Zoom Airlines content by typing "Zoom Uk" in the info box section, i have already and i am sure you have too, agreed that the uk division is not called Zoom Uk but none other than Zoom Airlines Ltd. I even cited a webpage to show that is can be referenced.[1] In addition, this user has deleted my post, under fleet of Zoom Airlines Ltd. from 1 to 0 stating that zoom airlines ltd does not have an aircraft. I once again referenced this to another aviation website where it states 1 boeing 767 from Air Europa. Please help me! I already sent the user a warning that if he/she continues I will be reporting him/her. I await your thoughts. Xulu8 22:19, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Halifax, Nova Scotia

[edit]

Hi there. The main, er, opposing view seems to have walked away from the debate. There is a proposal that is on the table that I think 66% of the people are happy with, but without participation from all parties its hard to come to any consensus. What now? WayeMason 01:47, 4 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I asked him and he has not responded in a week. We seem to have some kind of consensus happening to change the Halifax, Nova Scotia page to a disambg page, demo here User:WayeMason/sandbox. I think you can unlock the page now. WayeMason 01:45, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I see you have deleted my 'ShuttleSpace' article. Please explain why you would attempt to discredit over 10 years of work that I can validate, also please provide an alternative definition for the area of reserch I am engaged in. That was unfair. Regards, Robert Shuttleworth. www.shuttlespace.com

It was tagged as a Wikipedia:Proposed deletion with the summary "Advertisement for a company masquerading as an article (I've removed the url). No evidence provided that this term is in wide use." After reviewing the article and the summary I agreed and deleted it. Please take some time to look over Wikipedia:No original research. Thanks. Sorry, forgot to say that the prod tag sits for 5 days and you could have removed it at any time. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 13:08, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the explanation, I understand. Can I assume it is ok to re-enter the term once I provide a description that conforms to the rules?

Ian Tresize

[edit]

How dare you say that Ian Tresize is not notable. He is the son of the late Neil Tresize, former Geelong footballer and Labor MP. Ian Tresize does support the Geelong and is a current Labor MP for Geelong. Shame on you. You call yourself a Geelong supporter. 136.186.1.197 00:54, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My Userpage

[edit]

Hi, Cambridge! I too have noticed that peculiar effect my userpage has on diffs. I think it's just because I use an HTML code for my background that covers my entire page, and for some reason it stays there when looking at the diffs. Perhaps this is just a bug in the software. Anyway, I've just always dealt with it by personally reading through my userpage each time someone else edits it to be sure it's not vandalism. Thanks for your concern, though! Maybe someone at the admin's board will help me fix the problem. Happy editing! -- P.B. Pilhet 15:24, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Can we leave the Halifax, Nova Scotia alone . The article Halifax Urban Area is a poor representation of the area because the historys and nature of the various communities including between Halifax and Dartmouth are very different . 19960401 02:00, 8 May 2007 (UTC) I think someone wants to subsitute it for non factual page. Page on Iman Ali

[edit]

You blocked me for whatever reason I am not sure. The page you refer as official page is not her offial page. The changes you have added are also frivoulous. She never worked in Ankahi - she worked in Anarkali. But I am not sure what you are taking pride in seeing yourself an administrator. Iman is my country fellow and I know you don't like South Asians and she biases in a number of ways. Thanks but no thanks. Email of Administration

[edit]

I need email of the person who is incharge of Wikipedia set-up. Please, give me that. The whole project of wikipedia seems to be so absurd that you don't have any serious administration. I am now more convinced about the absudity and kafkaesque situation in wikipedia since a ruthlessly biased and ignorant administrator can block others without prior investigation. Dispute must be settled first and then any information put on display. In this case you have put your own disputed information on Iman's page. What is the use of such an administrator? Being a journalist, I know Iman Ali and I know she does not have an official page and you have added an idiot page as her offcial page. This is really strange. You are playing havoc with the informtion content. This makes me believe that most of the content on Wikipedia would be frivolous. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Faniman (talkcontribs) 03:59, 11 May 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Copyrights ?????

[edit]

My Dear copyright protector, the website you refer was created perhaps later than this page. I did not add that information. Secondly, this is precisely what I am saying that the website you have referred as official is not official website of Iman Ali. One very simple question. Was the website www.imanali.net was published first or this article on wikipedia came first? Please, establish this fact and then remove contents from Iman's page.

Apart from copyrights you are putting wrong information on wikipedia and I know you personally don't have any means of verification. This makes me believe that you bias towards south asian has asked you to truncate content on Iman's page.

Change on the Page - Iman Ali

[edit]

Now I see that the website www.imanali.net which you put as offical website is described as fan website. How did you verify that????? This is all a frivolous decision making with any evidence being examined. Please, let me know your real name and email address, you association with wikipedia. I want to write about Wikipedia in International Press and send it to all broadcaters. This is a very serious issue and should be taken up at all levels. I am going to write CNN, BBC, Newsweek, Economist and whereever else. Let us see what happens. Please, provide me information about yourself.

Your views

[edit]

I question your content and your skills of editing any information on wikipedia. Please, send me information about you and let me see how wikipedia high-ups respond. This is a matter which I need to take up in the international media. I want to conduct a story - a test case for wikipedia management. Simply saying content as unsourced is not on. I am determined to resolve this issue and bring it to fore.

What is going on

[edit]

You seem to be a child on website. You photo is of a 10-12 years old child. The page you refered does not say anything about you. This is so absurd and it means I will get enough material to speak about wikipedia initiative. I will write to all the search engines - google etc. You are showing whiteman's burden only and now you say that someone else changed the content. Stick to your words and keep this page as you want it to be. I am simply dumbfounded to see such unprofessional approach at wikipedia.

Administator's Vandalism

[edit]

Dear Administrators,

This is absolutely difficult to know who is making changes and why. Simply saying that something is unsourced and being removed (and do that with immediate effect) is absoluetly unacceptable. If Mr. Cambridge or whatever his/her name is wanted to edit s/he must have discussed with me and find a solution and then block me or whatever. After this incident, I am not a great fan of wikipedia. I am sure the way your admistrator has behaved is a true case of 'administrated vandalism'. You should try to develop some professional norms.

Please, restore the page I edited last and then idetify the problems so that I fix that. Be a cooperative profesional not a dictator to conduct ruthlessly. Anyhow, I am convinced, sofar, that wikipedia needs a story to be carried in international press.

When tis issue will be decided?

[edit]

Please, let me know who will decide this issue. Your unporofessional approach has given me very hard time. How long will it take to settle the dispute between you and me. Please, also give me details about yourself so that I write a story.

Your name and Address

[edit]

Please, let me know where are you based now? What is your real name? Your location? Your qualifications? Your role in wikipedia? I can not find this information on your user page in a comprehensible form. I want to settle this issue once for all and if needed write a story on wikipedia in international press. I am sure, my resquests are being recorded and will become part of the story.

Settling the Dispute through Improvement

[edit]

I am not sure how to write/respond on this page so I just edit it. Please, educate me how should I respond as you guys do. I am 100% that the website cited as official website of Ms. Iman Ali is wrong and the website has actually copied materal from wikipedia. As a suggestion, endorsing the one by TeaDrinker that WE should try to improve the content of the website and bring in as per policy of the wikipedia. Just throwing some content away is initself is a very very disgusting act. I am sure wikipedia and CBW will take note of this. Ultimately, what do we want to achieve? We want to put some good quality information content on the website which does not violate the policies of wikipedia and other conventions.

In doing so, I am ready to re-write the content as it can be suitable for wikipedia administrators. This conversation should be taken as an oportunity to improve our way of working and not throwing people away and blocking them from using wikipedia. Blocking and deleting the content is very contemptuous as well as unprofessional approach. I am sorry to be a bit agressive towards CBW but s/he made me react that way and I hope s/he also realizes that we should be encouraging people rather than just showing naked power to whatever one deems it fit to do. ends]

Thanks for your reversion of the Arctic island articles. It is tiresome to constantly revert those pages. There is a real claim of the U.S. to those islands which is verifiable in government documents from the time and the journals of Mr. De Long. why on earth did you leave that badly veiled threat to block me? Unless I'm sharing an IP adress with a vandal (which I know I'm not), I see no reason for this. My wikipedia edit history shows no vandalisms whatsoever, so I would appreciate it if you would leave me alone. fyi, my IP address is 70.224.81.146, in case you want to check my history

Indigo Sunset

[edit]

Hey there.

I recently created the page, Indigo Sunset, about a local band. It was speedily deleted. I understand that this was due to the fact that nothing "remarkable" was in the article about the band. I was intending to add to this page, however, just saved it briefly to redirect "Indigo sunset". I am new to writing pages on Wikipedia, so do not fully understand the system.

Sorry for any problems I have caused.

Would it be best to complete the page on my PC and then upload?

Hoping for your reply, Sam Bennett

P.S. I am also having issues sending this, so if the message repeats, I apologise.

It now has been given semi-protection so there should be less vandalism. Y4kk 13:53, 20 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for updating the links in User:Oberst/NWTGeocodes. I sourced it from a StatsCan publication, and although I edited to get rid of accents and a few other quirks causing redlinks, I hadn't got around to checking for redirects and such. I'm creating a {{NWT Community External Links}} template, to provide a standard set of links for NWT community pages. Right now it is just the Census profiles links, plus the Community Names link that seems to be in all the articles right now. I'm using Fort Smith, Northwest Territories as the first live test of it, and will be adding it to the others shortly. A similar template for Nunavut will follow. - David Oberst 01:31, 21 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've read your comment in the WikiProject Football and I've looked for contributes from this user who seems to be a fanatic of Sport Club Corinthians Paulista who invented some youth players and added others, most of all aged under 18. I haven't found any reliable source on the web for the almost totality of "his" addings; many of the players he created are also featured in Sport Club Corinthians Paulista Junior Team (an article that might also be considered for deletion process, but it's not eligible for a speedy one). I've proposed some of his articles for deletion, I hope I'll go on looking forward to his contributes from tomorrow. --Angelo 03:24, 21 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Why would you delete these two external links? Both were on: http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Ellesmere_Island http://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Ellesmere_Island&action=history

http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Eureka%2C_Canada http://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Eureka%2C_Nunavut&action=history

Both external links I edited had been on these pages for THREE years. Both links to pictures and movies of both areas which are hard to find. The pages have no ads. I don't see any reasonable explanation why you would remove these links. I edited them to change the urls to go directly to the directory instead of the .html file so people wouldn't get confused.

Julian Bream - category duplication

[edit]

Hi! In the page Julian Bream, I believe that including a link to Category:Classical Guitarists is not a duplication of the category Category:English classical guitarists.

The reason is that Category:Classical Guitarists should list all "classical guitarists be name", while Category:English classical guitarists should list only "English Classical guitarists". (Clearly "Category:English classical guitarists" is a subset of "Category:Classical Guitarists" but the two are not the same. In particular: -> )

Category:Classical Guitarists allows one to see all classical guitarists at once, instead of having to propagate through the various nationality-categories in order to find a specific classical guitarist (consider the possibility of someone who has forgotten a "guitarist's name" but will recognize the name on seeing it.)

Note that there was once a category called Category:Classical guitarists by name, which was removed, since those entries should be moved to Category:Classical Guitarists. See the deletion log: http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2007_March_22#Category:Classical_guitarists_by_name

If you still have doubts, tell me how you would go about finding a classical guitarist (lets say "Boris Gaquere"), of whom you happen to remember only the first name ("Boris"). You might check out Category:Russian_classical_guitarists, but that would not help since "Boris Gaquere" is listed under (surprise!) Category:Belgian_classical_guitarists You would have to propagate all "Nationality Categories" until you hit the Belgian one... To avoid this, all classical guitarists should be listed under Category:Classical guitarists, by name.

Of course, "wikipedia" is not "my wikipedia". I would think it best if Category:Classical guitarists by name were restored, but it was deleted and I'm not going to be the one to restore it!

Preferably sung on the acoustic guitar. Enjoy!

A fish singing along

The Fishy Song
I like fishies,
all kinds,
fishies in the brine,
fishies with wine,
fishies, so fine!

I like fishies,
don't you?
Fishies, from the blue,
Fishies, it's true,
and sometimes dolphins too.

Fishies,
are free,
Unlike, you and me,
To swim, all the time,
no worries,
would be sublime!

But I think,
To be one,
would not be,
so grand,
cause fishies... uhm..
always have to worry about fishermen from land. :P

Accuracy on Wikipedia

[edit]

The article clearly states the words "Israeli of Iranian heritage" in it. The Guardian is a reputable and mainstream newspaper. Your link is to a small, little-known paper and more importantly, the link is no longer valid. The slight change I made is neither offensive nor inaccurate. It simply delivers a more comprehensive background. Threatening to ban me because of your racist and partisan tendencies runs counter to the spirit of Wikipedia. Please respect correct information, even if you don't personally like it.

Please respect Wikipedia's intent

[edit]

No one is saying that you are the only person. Very often people take out information from Wikipedia just because they don't like it or because they have political issues with it. Please try to remain objective and keep Wikipedia informative. The change is cited and the information is accurate.

So f sorry

Sutherland Shire

[edit]

I re-did the first paragraph to remove the duplicate link to "Southern Sydney". As to the images, I agrre that larger images look better and if they wer set to 500 or 600 they would look even better. However, it's all about making the text look good in the article. People can click on the images if they want better views. Also the Wikipedia:Manual of Style#Images section says "Specifying the size of a thumb image is not recommended: without specifying a size the width will be what the reader has specified in their user preferences, with a default of 180px". I check out articles on three different sized monitors (15", 17" & 19") and multiple resolutions before I edit them. This allows me to check for large whitespace areas and text being pushed of the screen. Thus things like:

"Andrew Ettingshausen" can be avoided which was appearing on the 17" at 1024 x 768. Don't forget too that larger images cause longer loading times and although you and I may have high speed internet there are lots of people who don't. Cheers. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 04:26, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

No worries. I agree, the change to 'Southern Sydney Region' looks better. I haven't had any complaints about the size of photos before and I've posted heaps of them. If you want to shrinky-dink them, that's you're prerogative. Cheers. J Bar 05:12, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vandal warnings

[edit]

Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made to Tim Hortons, you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit was inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. It is more difficult to discourage a vandal and/or block a persistent vandal when other editors fail to place warnings on the user's talk page. Thanks. Skeezix1000 16:27, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

why ?

Hello

why did you remove the links to song covers of different artists ? This information was true and non-commercial. Please explain. Thank you by advance.

Wikipedia:Spam. The links all look like promotion. If every cover band/performer was listed then there would a huge list at most articles. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 15:29, 10 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nicholas Saunders

[edit]

Look at the background to this and tell me if you can see any reason why the article was tagged for speedy deletion.Castlemate 11:25, 11 June 2007 (UTC) I also gave the following sources ExtraDry but they have been removed: [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] Castlemate 11:34, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia considers chancellors and vice-chancellors sufficiently notable to list them in a seperate table of university leaders and some of them have articles so why not others. The very fact that Saunders is tackling the debt problem and that he is receiving national press coverage seems to speak to his notability. Is someone having a joke here or am I just missing the point. If the article needed deletion surely it needed discussion rather than speedy removal.Castlemate 11:51, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you

[edit]

I appreciate your somewhat belated assistance. I have no doubt an article on Nicholas Saunders will eventually be placed on Wikipedia but I will continue to be bemused by the response to the origional attempt and the behaviour of some editors. Castlemate 12:22, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Blanking Messages

[edit]

I have twice posted the following paragraph on ExtraDrys talk page and it has twice been removed. I would like it to stay for the record but will now post it on your talk page so my point is made:

"I was harrying because I was being offered no assistance in something I had little or no understanding of and because I was being given tricky answers rather than useful support. I believe malicious intent may well have been the driving force.Castlemate 12:12, 11 June 2007 (UTC)"[reply]

I trust that it will this time remain for others to view as part of this deplorable debate on notability. Castlemate 12:36, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about all this CambridgeBayWeather, Btw I did offer assistance for example [8]. ExtraDry 12:40, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notability has not and never will be an issue here. This was a vexatious act - no number of directives to Wiki guides were going to help solve the problem. Had it not been noticed by someone else the issue would not have been solved. ExtraDry needs to be diciplined. Castlemate 12:51, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Build a bridge and get over it. ExtraDry 13:05, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There is all of a sudden a lot of movement on this and Nicholas Saunders is suddenly notable. Can some one please explain why, as I intend to ask as many people as possible why this happened in the first place and how it can be stopped in the future? Castlemate 13:19, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notable

[edit]

You happily dismissed one of the references you have now used only half an hour ago. Then it had no credibilty and you refused to accept notability. Your change of mind is most perculiar. The history for the page shows the reinstatement as being by ExtraDry and the deletion log shows the reinstatement as being by Tone - are they one and the same? This is all very confusing. Can you now assist in disambiguating Nicholas Saunders as the present to headings are confusing. Thank you in advance for your support and honest answers. Castlemate 13:42, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Talk page on Lester B. Pearson

[edit]

I noted that you have had some issues with the editor who has characterized my request for information as misrepresentation. What gives? Is this an editor with some past history of being involved in similar actions? I consider his comments as bordering on incivility. FWIWBzuk 13:23, 12 June 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Thanks for your response on my talk page. You may not find the aforementioned editor's handiwork. He recently removed the following from his home talk page: "re: Canadian Prime Ministers: If I see one more edit from you on any prime minister I will block you for taking part in an edit war. This message has also been conveyed to your opponent. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 22:19, 6 June 2007 (UTC) and: Flags in the Infobox: Your rude comments in the talk Lester B. Pearson pages are inappropriate; I asked for information and did not take a stand on the question of flags- the questions I posed were "Does anyone have a reason for or against the use of the flag symbols in an infobox? Are flag icons in inappropriate locations not considered as per WP:FLAGCRUFT?" The original article I referenced did not have the essay tag on it yet you insinuate that I have made misrepresentations and now claim my motives are "between you and your Rabbi."I asked for information not condescension and ridicule. One more remark in above vein will result in your conduct being brought to an admin. Bzuk 02:31, 13 June 2007 (UTC)." He removed the above comments with the dismissive "crumple and toss" edit summary. Although he seems to be a reasonable contributor judging by his edit history there is also a disturbing trend to get involved in edit wars and reverting good faith edits with summary dismissals as well as to make disparaging comments to other editors. My hope is that editors like him grow into the role but that may be wishful thinking.FWIW Bzuk 04:49, 13 June 2007 (UTC).[reply]
Now he has placed all of my comments back on the Pearson talk page with his comment: "::::What I meant is "between you and your Rabbi" is whether your misrepresentation was deliberate or merely an oversight. In other words, I am not saying that you were (or that you were not) trying to mislead anyone, just that the way you presented WP:FANCRUFT would tend to mislead, so please be more careful in such matters. Perhaps you disagree that your presentation was misleading. If so, then (plainly) I think that you are wrong, but there's no purpose in our arguing about. For my part, I disagree that you've any reasonable cause for offence, and am accordingly unconcerned about your threat.
-- Lonewolf BC 03:14, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Aaargh, no use arguing with this guy; I was cutting him a bit of slack by taking the discussion back to a one-on-one but the fact that he revels in provocative actions is off-putting. He obviously wants everyone to see his comments. Do what you want with him, I simply do not want to deal with him any more. IMHO Bzuk 05:21, 13 June 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Geoname

[edit]

Hello,

I was rather dismayed to see that you have removed my co-ordinate tag from the top of the cork airport (http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Cork_International_Airport) page. While I can't deny there was duplication I feel you may have remove the wrong co-ordinate. I have only recently my self come across the concept of assigning a geotag to a wikipedia page. Previous to this while pages may contain geo location information there has been no consistent format, til now. My co ordinate assignment was an attempt to bring the airport link (and many other cork links aswell) under the new format. It is an interim process and while I don't condone duplicates I felt it was better to keep the new with the old for the time being. I would appreciate if you would have a look at these link and reconsider your edit :

Yes, I may have ranted against that vile creature, but you do realize that she is interpreting history from a mad woman's perspective? and that she is robbing an entire and very largeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee region of a history and identity? you might want to be a bit more sensitive though I am sure you feel grand behind your screen protecting the distortion of sacred history and civilization..however, I, as a native, feel that my culture is being rewritten by a lunatic that obviously knows nothing about the region or its history. Heck, one need only consider a very simple though distorted belief that she holds namely that sudan is part fo north africa when in truth it is part of sub-saharan black africa, two non-pejorative terms. I am going to complain about you and her and hope this project sinks as it is a joke but what have you to say ? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.90.246.113 (talkcontribs) 13:06, 17 June 2007.

And now, please feel free to block me, I certainly dont want to contribute to a madhouse..sick sort of project, may it sink. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.90.246.113 (talkcontribs) 13:23, 17 June 2007.

If my re-write complies with both items, why can this article not exist?

First off who are you to argue with me about Brendan Campbell have 2 legs. He clearly does have 2 legs if you would like for me to provide picture I will gladly do so. I believe that the whole point of wikipedia is to share information that others do not know. Sure many will assume that he has 2 legs but now that can be 100% positive. Its people like you that make wikipedia a a place of limited information. Now before you go deleting again I would like you to know that I am Jimmy Wales nephew and you may have trouble ever going on wikipedia again if you decide to delete my articles again.

In response to the article you sent me: Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not How much goddamn time do you think I have on my hands? I'm not you. I can't spend all day memorizing the Wikipedia code of conduct and then patrolling Wikipedia for evil people who would dare to break the code. I would greatly appreciate it if you would just tell me what is so bad about my article.

CBW, Thanks for your assistance in helping me understand how Wikipedia works. Q: When you get the chance, would you mind reviewing the article I posted to your sandbox to see if you personally think it would pass the Undelete muster?

I want to help make Wikipedia better but my efforts prior to this article have been merely to correct spelling mistakes or adding tidbits. I understand that you must do what you can to prevent Wikipedia from getting too bloated but in its current form, I honestly do believe this article and this software has merit.

Now, according to what I've read in the deletion logs, according to WP:SOFTWARE a piece of software must be notable if it has multiple non-trivial independant mentions. At the time, Lifehacker and Salesforce were listed as the two references. Upon further review, it was noted that the Lifehacker reference did not live up to the this standard since it appeared that the author of that blog article had not used the software...

Now that a few months has passed, I found the following references to Xcellery thanks to Google. Besides SalesForce AppExchange (which noone has disputed the legitimacy of), there is a reference on Buzzshout, Office 2.0 Database, and Webware. Of these, several are hands on evaluations of this software so they should count, right?

Before I post on the Undelete page for review, I'd like your candid feedback on whether or not this software package has merit. BTW, I never knew it was this hard to get something new added to Wikipedia. Thanks in advance for your advice. Regards, -g

Wow, these Deletion Review guys are harsh. I'm surprised they have such an ax to grind about this program. I'm not arguing that this program should carry the same respect and notability as Linux but it does annoy me that their criteria constantly varies.

It satisfies the multiple mentions from non-trivial sources with direct experience with the program. Where in the official criteria does it say that a program is not worthy of Wikipedia if it only has 3000 users and is still in Beta? Does that mean its eligible once the usercount reaches 3001? Very odd.

Anyway, thanks for your assistance CBW. I'm surprised these are so close minded. --Gsalelanonda 15:02, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I Need Your Help with the Lupin III Page

[edit]

Previously, User:293.xx.xxx.xx came to you and asked you to protect the Lupin III page, claiming that it was being vandalized. You told him that he should open up discussion in the talk page about information with which he has an issue and that protecting the page is not necessary.

The latest paragraph that 293.xx.xxx.xx had an issue with started out as this:

Other series that contain Lupin references in one form or the other include Case Closed, Crayon Shin Chan (where the character of Shinnosuke claims to be Lupin the 4th), Cutie Honey (where, in the manga, the character Seiji says "Heh, I guess they think they're Lupin III now!"), Gintama (via Gintoki's line "Guys like Lupin always wore the same jacket"], Great Teacher Onizuka, Midori Days (in which Sakisaka Hisashi finds he missing master copy of the old Lupin III background music during an event taking place in the 4th Volume of the manga), Otaku no Video, and Yakitate Japan.

293.xx.xxx.xx said in the talk page:

My request is that 68.43.82.69 and 146.9.13.112 (or perhaps another user) provide the relevant Manga Volumes and Anime Episode Numbers to support each claim.

He obviously did not notice that the Midori Days part did reference Volume 4 of the manga. If he cares about editing the article and helping out Wikipedia, he wouldn't have blindly ignored that. Anyway, I went and looked for the episode numbers and volume numbers, and it wasn't very easy to do. After a while, the above paragraph evolved into this:

In Midori Days, Sakisaka Hisashi finds the missing master copy of the old Lupin III background music during an event taking place in the 4th Volume of the manga. In Crayon Shin Chan episode 440, Shinnosuke claims to be Lupin the 4th. Also, in episode 31 of the Great Teacher Onizuka anime, Onizuka, disguised, cheats by using magnets while playing on a Lupin IV Pachinko machine as an effort to raise money for a field trip he promised the 3rd year students but cannot afford. There are several Lupin III Pachinko machines found in Japan.

293.xx.xxx.xx deleted the above paragraph, stating "Delete improperly unsourced material", and then he asked User:Ryulong to protect the page, which Ryulong did. I feel that if 293.xx.xxx.xx is not very concerend about the article Lupin III, and, as much as I do not like to make assumptions, I have to guess that he either does not like the show or has a personal issue with me since I challenged him numerously over things in the article for which more than once I went back and found references.

I hope you can sort this mess out. I don't feel that the article should be protected, and I think someone needs to talk to 293.xx.xxx.xx and let him or her know that one can help out Wikipedia by more than just deleting everything with which he or she does not personally agree.

Thank you for your time. 68.43.82.69 13:39, 22 June 2007 (UTC) 68.43.82.69[reply]

If we could edit edit summaries, I would have corrected it. :)

Emirates Airline

[edit]

I've started to agree with you on Emirates Airline, and instead off bringing back old information, i read what you said to 213.42.2.27 and fixed up the article, the only thing i didn't do was log on while i did it. I put pictures on either side of the page as you were right and i was wrong. The pictures did make the article look very compact. The only thing i disagree with you on is that you removed the table displaying the new Emirates destinations so i brought it back. I'm very sorry if i wasted your time changing brought back information on Emirates Airline. NA112

I don't understand why you deleted links to Classical music radio and smooth jazz - both appeared to be appropriate to the subjects.

Emirates Royal Flight

It not the right link. I did some research on it, and it's definetly not the right link. By the way you live in Canada right. I was born there, in Toronto. I thought you deserve this because i've seen your name alot whilst you block people.User talk:NA112 13:52, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Anti-Vandalism Barnstar
I see your username alot so you desrve this. Your reverting vandalism and working hard to keep wikipedia a great website has earned you this. Because of your excellent efforts, you desrve this Anti-vandal barnstar. Well done, and keep up the good work! User talk:NA112 13:52, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I know this is mildly inclusionist but I have reasons for creating it. The main point is that Enoki, 81 years old, survived for a month in the Arctic. He was an octagenarian; you don't expect such feats from a sexagenerian as well. Also, it was covered quite a bit by the Canadian media, so I reasoned, and decided it'll be OK to create it. --Evilclown93(talk) 00:33, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That's evident, but he survived for a month; that's my reasoning. Obvioulsy, you live there, so feel free to work with it, as you probably are more familiar with this. --Evilclown93(talk) 00:44, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
