Welcome!

Welcome to Wikipedia, Caiyu! My name is Ryan, aka Acetic Acid. I noticed that you were new and haven't received any messages yet. I just wanted to see how you were doing. Wikipedia can be a little intimidating at first, since it uses different formatting than other sites that use HTML and CSS. In the long run, though, you'll find that the WikiSyntax is a lot easier and faster than those other ways. Here are a few links to get you started:

There are a lot of policies and guides to read, but I highly recommend reading over those first. If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Please be sure to sign your name on Talk using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, along with a link to your user page. This way, others know when you left a message and how to find you. It's easier than having to type out your name, right? :)

I hope you enjoy contributing to Wikipedia. We can use all the help we can get! Have a nice day. Sincerely, Ryan. 12:02, August 1, 2005 (UTC)

Hi,I am from Singapore.I'd like to clarify rumours of Fei Yu Ching being gay.Is that true?Tdxiang 00:21, 4 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I know, he always denied this rumour, and no clear evidences may prove this. But many gays believe it. Caiyu(采豫) 05:41, 4 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Dragon Quest Slimes

[edit]

Dear Caiyu,

Thank you for the lengthy list of slime types from Dragon Quest games! Slimes are a special interest of mine (I've gone so far as to write a thoroughly non-canonical ethnography of slime psychology and culture). I noticed that the list of slimes was removed to the DQ slimes article, and then deleted with no comment or discussion. I'm pretty new here and not inclined to get into an edit war with a "non-encyclopedic" hardass, but I think the list deserves to be put up somewhere. Would you be interested in hosting it on a personal site, so that the wikipedia article can link to it? If not, and if you don't mind, I'd like to put the list up on my site.

Greek to me

[edit]

Greetings. I just wrote the page Greek to me. I am comparing similar expressions in other languages. I was wondering if you would be able to add the expression in any languages with which you are comfortable. Btw, I just found your page/profile by running a search for users who have a level 4/level 5 ability in non-English languages. Thanks much! samwaltz 04:48, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
