Orphaned non-free media (Image:18wheelsofsteel.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:18wheelsofsteel.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:10, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of You Me At Six, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.smosh.com/forums/lofiversion/index.php/t23402.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 13:35, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

Please do not add copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to You Me At Six. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. This image will be kept but it is going to be removed from Tyrannosaurus in popular culture as there is no rationale stating why it is valid for use in that article. You can re-add it if you add a new rationale explaining why it is. Stifle (talk) 15:16, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

Request for unprotection, You Me At Six
Hi. I just got your note and wanted to let you know first that though I reprotected the page, I am not the initial protecting admin. It was protected through October 20, 2008 by User:King of Hearts. Its unprotection and reprotection resulted from a misunderstanding. I've had a look at the request for unprotection entry, and it seems that your request for unprotection has been declined by another admin, here. The admin who declined the request there suggested that you might wish to "create a draft in your userspace, or work on User:RWorange/You Me, and then take it to deletion review." It seems to me that it's just a matter of time before this band does become notable, if its not currently, but this strikes me as a good idea since reaching #100 may not meet consensus for notability and DRV would eliminate all the problems that have been ongoing with WP:CSD#G4. If they sail up those charts or continue to get widespread media coverage, it shouldn't be at all a controversial matter. Please do be careful, though, as above, that the text you use is not copied from another site. We can only use text from other sources if it is explicitly marked in public domain or released by a license compatible with GFDL. This is true even if it doesn't carry a copyright notice. Otherwise, you would have to follow through the permission process to verify that we are allowed to use it on Wikipedia. Thanks. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:31, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
- I've gone ahead and unprotected the You Me At Six page per your request at WP:RFPP. You should be able to create the page now, using the sources and text you've been working on. I don't think it's necessary to go through deletion review, as the sources indicate that the band does satisfy some of the clear-cut notability criteria. Happy editing. - Hi. :) Just wanted to let you know that I have deleted your temporary page and merged the article you copied in the other user's space into the new article at You Me At Six. Strange as it may seem, it is also a copyright violation to copy material from one Wikipedia page to another, unless you are the sole contributor. Wikipedia's contributors do not release copyright to their contributions, but only license them according to GFDL. This allows reuse and modification, but preserves their right to credit. Your article retained language taken directly from that other article, and so the attribution histories needed to be combined.
- If you have any questions about this, please let me know. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 22:30, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:1230_244x325.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:1230_244x325.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? -Nard 17:59, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
Re:Richard gage
Hi Cabe, I just contested the page about Richard Gage from speedy deletion. Please check my talk page and do give me some suggestions. I believe that if this guy was mentioned as a possible group involved with homeland terrorism [1]then it should be notable enough to be included. thanks for the suggestions!Celeronel (talk) 19:49, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

Your note to me about Erme
Thanks for your note. Next time, instead of raising the accusation of vandalism in your edit summary, consider that maybe the person removing the tag is an admin who's simply doing his job. The article had been tagged with CSD A5 which reads: "This page may meet Wikipedia’s criteria for speedy deletion as an article that is a dictionary definition or an article for which there is an articles for deletion decision to transwiki, after it has been properly moved to Wiktionary or another wiki and the author information recorded." Regardless of the vandalism issue, this was not a dictionary def, never was (I went through the history and confirmed that). AKRadeckiSpeaketh 15:31, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

- Fine. I've granted you access; read WP:ACC/G for details of how to use the system, although it's fairly simple anyway. For now, you'll have access to create up to six accounts per day and you won't be able to create accounts with a name similar to an existing user. If you find yourself running into those limits too often, place a request at WP:RPE. Stifle (talk) 14:47, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
Thank You
Being a newcomer to Wikipeidia myself, I find it a little hard to be tolerant of overt vandalism and breach of policies, particularly on a page I had put consider effort into cleaning up at the time. My actions to the anon user in question were probably a little harsh, but I do feel they deserved merit giving the contribution history of this particular user, and obvious bias towards the MobileMe service. I will however be nicer to the next instance of faux pas I come across from new or anon users. Sometimes I forget what it is like to be new and not no what you are doing. ACC
Thought I would tell you that this account can be made. This is why it was sent down to the admin. I will not reset as it will bombard the poor guy with emails. But I thought I should tell you. Cheers, happy editing and happy account creating. Rgoodermote 23:50, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, it was a bad move to mark it too similar. However don't sweat it. We all make mistakes and it is our job to learn from them. They'll probably request again later anyways with a different username. But it is always best to leave the admin section to the admins. They have the ability to make accounts that are similar to others if they see it fit. I hope I helped you with this and I wasn't sounding rude to you. I just like to help out.
