Hello CVActor1. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Ray Carr".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Ray Carr}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Rankersbo (talk) 11:31, 23 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Ray Carr

[edit]

Hey there! Sorry you've been having so much trouble with the Ray Carr article. First off, I blanked the submission by mistake, and I apologize. It's fixed now.

Second, you're boss shouldn't be asking you to write a Wikipedia article about him. That gives you a conflict of interest.

Third, your boss doesn't seem to be notable. All of the sources are local in nature. Has he received national-level coverage? You're welcome to resubmit the article, but it will probably be rejected again unless there are better sources.

Again, I'm sorry you've had to go through so much bureaucracy, and hopefully this can get resolved quickly one way or the other. --Cerebellum (talk) 18:11, 11 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You recently added this to the article for Anthony Hopkins: "It was reported today (4/30/16) Antony died at a spokeswoman's home in Los Angeles of congestive heart failure, at 2:35PM today on Worldwide Global News), says BBC.[1]" I was wondering why no other news source has this story? Martinevans123 (talk) 21:38, 30 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Would you please stop adding the claim that Hopkins has died until you can find a reliable news source. The one you have cited says this "Antony died at her home in Los Angeles of congestive heart failure, according to her spokeswoman at 2:35 pm , Today, 30 Aprils. No more details at the moment , says BBC." This is totally untrue - the BBC says no such thing. Nor does any other news source, anywhere. If you want to discuss this material, please take it to Talk:Anthony Hopkins. Martinevans123 (talk) 21:44, 30 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

== Mandatory paid editing disclosure

Information icon

Hello CVActor1. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, and that you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to Black hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:CVActor1. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=CVActor1|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, please do not edit further until you answer this message.

Get into compliance now, before you do anything else, otherwise we will have no choice but to block your account. ~Anachronist (talk) 19:04, 15 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Anachronist, I never got a notice of this request, and did not see it until this evening. How many times do I have to say this? I am NOT getting paid. Ray HIMSELF does not even get paid for what he does. College Radio does not pay ANYONE. Everyone at ANY college radio station is a VOLUNTEER. If you don't believe me, call any college radio station and they will tell you this. Call WCSB yourself - 216-687-3515 - THEN maybe you'll believe me. The only remotely possible exception for any kind of payment is the Station Manager - and those seem to change almost monthly. Ray Carr does not pay me. I have said this MANY times here and no one listens. I'd like to know how I am supposed to prove this to all of you. BELIEVE ME, I wish I WAS getting paid, because I am broke. But I am NOT being paid. What do I have to do to get you people to believe me? You talk about disclosure, there is NOTHING to disclose. If you will tell me how to "disclose" this, I'm more than happy to do so, because I would like this thing finally accepted on this site, and to be done with it, but obviously no one really cares or wants to listen because I have been threatened here, told I was a one-article writer, which is not true, I have edited other articles here, and I've been told by Robert McClenon here that he was making sure no one helped me anymore, even after I insisted to him that I am NOT getting paid, and my responses since have been completely ignored. And now you've all gone and deleted the article without any warning to me. Can you please tell me what I can do so that you will finally believe that I am not getting paid for this? If I'm stupid enough to go through all this bullshit here for free, I would think that would be enough proof. But I'm all ears. Please tell me.
