You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Artmatch4u requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Ubelowme U Me 16:04, 30 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

August 2012

[edit]

Hello, CLS2012. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Artmatch4u, you may need to consider our guidance on conflicts of interest.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Dlohcierekim 17:05, 30 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion
Thank you for helping to build Wikipedia-- the world's largest free content encyclopedia.
I'm sorry, but this has been deleted as meeting WP:CSD. Generally, articles are speedily deleted when there is no assertion of significance or they fall into things to avoid.
Wikipedia is an encyclopedia-- subjects must meet notability guidelines with reliable sources providing verifiable information. That generally means someone unconnected with the subject needs to have written about the subject. Searching Google is the best place to start. Sometimes articles are deleted because they contain content copyrighted elsewhere. Such content can be used as a source of information, but the content here must be completely rewritten from scratch. Any deficiencies with notability, sourcing, or things to avoid should be remedied before reposting as they can lead to repeated deletions.
For basic information on beginning to write an article see User:Dloh/new.
Sourcing is incredibly important for an encyclopedia. You will need reliable sources providing verifiable information. Be sure to list your sources at the bottom of the article.
For more general information about the deletion process, please see User:Dlohcierekim/deletion
If you believe the subject does in fact meet notability guidelines with reliable sources providing verifiable information, please contact me on my talk page.
If you wish to make test edits or work on the article before creating it, you can create a test page at User:CLS2012/sandbox and consider using the Article Wizard to guide you through the creation process. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page
Cheers, and happy editing. Dlohcierekim 17:07, 30 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Artmatch4u futher info on deletion

[edit]

Please read the links in the notices on this page. Did you not do so?? The article failed to assert the significance of the subject. Also, it seemed a tad promotional. An associate of yours is involved with the website. Perhaps you have a conflict of interest? Please bear in mid that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. Please read and understand about reliable sources and notability requirements. You can work on the article in your sandbox if you have these and then move it to article space when the article is complete. If the article lacks reliable sources and if the subject is not notable your efforts will go for naught as the article will be deleted again. Legitamacy has nothing to do with it. If the article was written by your associate at the website, then that is not a reliable source. Has anyone written about the website? Any publications? Please read WP:WEB. It will give you web content specific info. You say I should have verified the content. How so? If there are reliable sources, it would behoove you to include them when you create the article. Remember, the company's webpage is connected with the subject and does not count. Dlohcierekim 18:01, 30 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"Is it because. . . . "

[edit]

Just saw this add to your note. Does this mean you actually work for Artmatch4u? Please understand that we are not a promotional webhost. The writing requirements here are very different from that kind of writing. You have to be very careful to avoid a promotional tone. Do please read WP:WEB and consider if subject meets those. Do please find sourcing independent of the subject. YOU CAN CREATE A SANDBOX BY CLICKING THIS LINK. I would not change the user name. . . . We take our editor's real world privacy very seriously here . Dlohcierekim 18:37, 30 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
