Hello, CGBoas. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Akira Morikawa, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Akira Morikawa to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2010-2012 Portuguese financial crisis, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Banif (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:13, 29 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Medina Carreira has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article. The nominator also raised the following concern:

All biographies of living people created after March 18, 2010, must have references.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. A tag has been placed on Freakangel requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Speedy deletion nomination of Qudian

[edit]

Hello CGBoas,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Qudian for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Notice

The article Hollysys has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Minimal content; orphan; poorly sourced

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. kingboyk (talk) 22:06, 21 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi CGBoas, sorry to not get back immediately. The example you gave about the page on the London School of Economics says what you said it says, but that's WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS, it is as imperfect as any other Wikipedia page, including all those that I have written. As many examples can be given to the contrary:

Margaret Thatcher (Good Article): "[Thatcher] arrived at Oxford in 1943 and graduated in 1947[5] with Second-Class Honours, in the four-year Chemistry Bachelor of Science degree, specialising in X-ray crystallography under the supervision of Dorothy Hodgkin.[17]

David Cameron: "Cameron passed twelve O-Levels and then three A-levels: History of art; History, in which he was taught by Michael Kidson; and Economics with Politics. He obtained three 'A' grades and a '1' grade in the Scholarship Level exam in Economics and Politics.[25]

Cambridge University style guide: [1] Degree titles use initial capitals, eg BA Honours in History. Single Honours, Joint Honours, etc also use initial capitals...Qualifications should also be capitalised eg GCSEs in Mathematics, Chemistry and History.

This is something that may vary from place to place, because the rules of English aren't all written down in one place like the RAE does in Spain, but it's certainly not something I've made up myself.

If you want to revert me, fine. I do not engage in edit wars, which is why I keep myself to niche areas like minor foreign politicians. I wish you a happy and fun experience on editing Wikipedia. Unknown Temptation (talk) 19:41, 28 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Elon Musk. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Wretchskull (talk) 14:14, 9 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

See what I just did with your image at Faro Airport. It's a neat way to display wide images using the full width of the available browser (so it's independent of any user's actual screen size} 10mmsocket (talk) 11:42, 19 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

b.t.w. there are more really cool airport panoramas that could be added to articles. Look at the Innsbruck one for example. [2] and Kulsusuk [3] 10mmsocket (talk) 11:48, 19 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Good work! That's a great improvement and it looks better now. Thank you for letting me know. CGBoas (talk) 11:56, 19 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Banco Português de Fomento moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Banco Português de Fomento, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
