Barney Oldfield

[edit]

You said that you have pictures of Barney Oldfield. There are some considerations. If the pictures were published before January 1 1923 in the U.S., then they are in the public domain in the U.S. and free to upload (no matter what) using the license PD-US. They would be public domain throughout the world if the photographer is dead for over 70 years and you are free to upload them (no matter what). If you took them, then you are able to license them however you want. If you bought them from someone, then you only own the pictures and not the license to the pictures, which means that you should not upload them (except if published before 1923). I don't know what to say if you inherited the pictures from the photographer. What's the situation?

About adding the content: you are expected to find the information published in a reliable source. Are you the person with the information that was found on the photos? Please post the information in a new section on the article's talk page so that Wikipedian contributors can review and comment about including it in the article.
