I don't agree that there was no consensus - merge/redirect/delete all mean that people don't think the page should exist, so something still needs to be done, it can't just be left.Damiancorrigan 09:30, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
You said "the people who wanted to delete (or merge) the article had no reason to present as to why the article would not be suitable for Wikipedia" - read it again, you couldn't be more wrong. It sounds like you've just decided that YOU don't like the reasons given. Only one person was in favour of keeping the page. Damiancorrigan 10:55, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
Also, looking over your talk page, it seems you have a habit of making arbitrary decisions about AfD pages. Please don't. Damiancorrigan 10:57, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
My mistake, I misread a couple of the earlier comments on your page. However, rather than dwelling on one thing I said, why don't you address the issue - only ONE person wanted to keep the Bjork page, yet you still say it was no consensus. There were a number of reasons given, but you still say there was 'no reason'. Interesting. Damiancorrigan 11:21, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
Are you looking at the same page as me? Three deletes, one keep, one redirect, one merge. Redirect is another way of saying 'delete', he doesn't say any of the text should be moved, the page should merely redirect. And regarding merging the information - have you actually looked at the page? The 'Bjork afterwards' section is duplicated on her own page, the Gling Glo section is duplicated on its own page and the 'History' section is more or less the same as that on Tríó Guðmundar Ingólfssonar's own page. Damiancorrigan 11:35, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
You really are quite a tiresome person. Common sense says the page should be removed.Damiancorrigan 12:13, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, an attack is not 'personal' if the person is not named. Damiancorrigan 12:30, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

Universal suffrage
[edit]Hi. Several other nations and territories can also argue for being first with universal suffrage. I think this should be mentioned.Ultramarine 19:51, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
Re: clearing my talk page
[edit]Hey.. i dont see how clearing my talk page could possibly offend anyone, i always reply before deleting messages that apear to be expecting reply (even if i have to leave 'no coment'). Plus, each user's talk page and user page are generaly run by them, the way they like it (within reason).
I simply dont see the point of keeping a my discussions archived or on the main talk page. most of them are simply requests for help and followup, not serious wikipedia discussions (although i do that on article discussion pages, and i dont clear it!)
Infact, i dont see why many users dont clear all or most of their talk. I just think the clean slate is easier to use, and i have nothing important to archive.
I checked the civility page and it doesnt even touch on this specific topic. if you find any wikipedia policies or guidelines that explicitly prohibit or discourage this practice, please point me to them.
Cheers, •USER•ADAM THE ATOM•TALK• 11:48, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
Your POV Censorship is Wrong
[edit]Ulayiti, that EdWatch.org site in the International Baccalaureate page is not my personal site. I don't even know whose it is. And for other reasons given in the discussion page there, you are just plain wrong and should stop censoring what you don't like. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.192.35.245 (talk • contribs) 18:19, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit]hi, i am a 13 year old girl, living in america, (born & raised), and i was reading one of the articles about swadyay, and noticed that on the discussion page you had alot of comments. my first reaction was anger towards your ignorance and arrogance, and pity, that even as a grown adult, u lack some of the basic understanding skills that are taught in swadyay, which you were DISSING in your article. maybe you should attend swadyay and learn what they have to teach, because you severely lack it.
furthermore: here are some comments towards your article, because it needs some SERIOUS editing.
i think swadhyay is not all about religion, and you make it sound that way. i think the only ppl who should be writing about swadhyay here should be those who have experienced what it really is. ulayiti, please stop, because i doubt you can name a single principal of swadhayay. i am 13, and have a far better knowledge of swadhyay then all of you ppl do, (ive been going my entire life) and i have interpreted your article as flawed, becuase it distorts alot of the swadhyay teachings, and is not neutral. please leave this article for the swadhyayees to write, and kindly to not write about a subject that you do not know about. thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.68.55.149 (talk • contribs) 22:48, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
hi could you please help me getting the code right for Diogo Briso Mainardi? the article linked
http://conjur.estadao.com.br/static/text/45378,1
gives his name as "DIOGO BRISO MAINARDI" at the bottom. thanks. 200.139.187.155 01:37, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Ulayiti: As I wander and enjoy my way around the "pedia I have found discussions that range from the unwieldy to reverant calm. Calm, usually on the part of the admins. I find the 'pedia both "hard to put down" and sometimes childish and sometimes refreshing, always dynamic however. Ever moving, sometimes as if in outer space, not really going anywhere but still having a universal purpose. Sadly, while I can write this about Wikipedia, I found where a person's only attraction to the 'pedia was to delete people, and clean up trash. This is not as bad as revealing they do not write articles themselves, but are overwhelmed by excersising the power to expend others no matter how long they may have laboured over a piece. Never themselves having to go through the difficult editing process. Much like a drug counsellor who never suffered the calamity of a drug dependency nor driven in desperate searches to save one's life. They would have no idea. How can this happen when I was enjoying the Wikipedia so much? Becoming an editor, a real editor is more than joining a website merely to tear at articles written by the well-intended unknown for the joy of tearing them apart, knowing full well there is no consequence for their childishness. I know Wikipedia survived well without me, and will continue to strive toward assembling a solid public library, gaining the trust of all. But, I couldn't help but feel sorry for the volunteers whose stories, thoughts, beliefs, philosophies, heart and soul, fact searching and rewriting endlessly grace the pages, only to be assaulted by the immature. Thanks for reading. Bud WhiteyeBud Whiteye 04:05, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
Bud Whiteye Again
[edit]Ilayiti, how can I get everything into one box or page or whatever. I have messages all over the place. If I write only in my "place" how will anyone know I replied to their concerns? Please Forgive BWBud Whiteye 04:20, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
Hello, as you've seen yourself the user SleddogAC has been constantly reverting back to a controversial version of the Iditarod article, inserting copyviolations and POV material. I was wondering whether there was any policy or course of action to curb this behaviour (3RR does not aplly as he edits days apart) I am new to Wikipedia and hope you can give me some guidance in stopping this edit war. [edit]Bud Whiteye here. I don't know how to reach you, so I'm trying this. I asked an important Q when you asked me if I had any questions. It's on your talk page. BWBud Whiteye 15:07, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
Hi Ulayiti
[edit]Thanks Ulayiti: I thought you fell off the edge - it is still flat is it not? I noticed some, more than half, have a tiny, little "talk" thing by their name. When I click on that little "talk" thingy by their name I have almost 100% success. Thanks Bud 14:37, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
Ulayiti
[edit]Thanks, I'll give it a try. One more Q Ulay..., how do I create a link of references for my article. Many editors asked me to, but I don't know how, no matter what I've tried. I've tried highliting and right clicking, but that don't work. That (what I just wrote) is an example of the things I've tried. All to know avail. Bud 17:11, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
A short Esperanzial update
[edit]As you may have gathered, discussions have been raging for about a week on the Esperanza talk page as to the future direction of Esperanza. Some of these are still ongoing and warrant more input (such as the idea to scrap the members list altogether). However, some decisions have been made and the charter has hence been amended. See what happened. Basically, the whole leadership has had a reshuffle, so please review the new, improved charter.
As a result, we are electing 4 people this month. They will replace JoanneB and Pschemp and form a new tranche A, serving until December. Elections will begin on 2006-07-02 and last until 2006-07-09. If you wish to run for a Council position, add your name to the list before 2006-07-02. For more details, see Wikipedia:Esperanza/June 2006 elections.
Thanks and kind, Esperanzial regards, —Celestianpower háblame 16:00, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

Italian Greetings articles
[edit]Hi, although I am aware you were just stating the facts to me, I am a little saddened by this because I was just trying to help. In the future please NOTIFY me in advance before you go and delete my articles. I do realise it was in the guidelines now. I am only learning, everyone does until they die. I appreciate it but please be kind to relatively new people like me. :( I am sorry for the time that you had to waste because you were deleting the articles. Jam01 03:26, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
Hi there, I got your new message and I accept your apology. Thanks! Jam01 21:39, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

Finnish Presidential election, 2006
[edit]Hi, I have reverted some of your edit regarding candidate numbering in the article. I thought your edit made it appear that the number of candidates starts at two (ie two people standing for election), rather than the numbering of the candidates starting at 2. Alun 07:20, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
Herbert Midgley
[edit]How famous of a person does a person have to be? This person has changed the world through his music and writing as well as he as teacher.
Has Paris Hilton or Kevin Rose had 700,000 download of a song they have written?
Does the Star Wars Kid has his own site.
If Herbert Midgley was a nobody, then I can agree. He was on a William Shatner documentary!! Can Paris Hilton say that? Kevin Rose? Bill Gates?
Herbert Midgley
[edit]I understand the guidelines. I feel that Herbert Midgley is a vaild entry into wikipedia. How many others do I need to get him on wikipedia?
Herbert Midgley is the first hit on google and is famous in the internet and geek world.
I feel that it would be a value to have him on wikipedia so show his creative genius.
Is there a way to start a poll or petition to get Herbert Midgley on wikipedia?
Are these of value? One is a bad video of some poor kid that hasn't done anything.
http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Kevin_rose
http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Paris_hilton
http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Star_wars_kid
http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/More_Cowbell
http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Homer_Goes_to_College
I can go on and on.
Make me an argument that these sites are more important than what Herbert Midgley has done.
Herbert Midgley is a part of pop culture and had contribute to the world. Has the Star Wars Kid done that?
Thank you.
Hello. I noticed that you decided not to delete this article. I can gaurentee you personally that Park Avenue in Kochi is not at all important. It is just a name given to an avenue there. I had created the article some time back when I decided to take this article for a peer review. However I later realised that it fails the notability norms, as Park Avenue is just a road lined with trees on both sides, and a park nearby. It isnt even a tourist destination. Just a small commerical place. Do you suggest I rather go by the regular AfD? I really think its worth a speedy. Thanks. -- thunderboltza.k.a.Deepu Joseph |TALK04:18, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
- Hmm..since there seems to be no harm in keeping the article, I guess we'll let it stay then. Thanks! And sorry for the trouble.-- thunderboltza.k.a.Deepu Joseph |TALK04:35, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit]The article about Arthur Chaparyan was deleted by you. I was wondering why this was because it contained information regarding the project that won the 2000 ArsDigita prize.
