Regarding edits to the brain-computer interface article

I noticed your bold edits to the article and found a few things that might get that article restored to before your edit if the wrong person comes across it.

Here are a few points you should consider fixing if you want your changes to persist:

  • Subsections for the Future directions for BCIs section, it seems to me this could be done easily and significantly improve the structure of the section.
  • Remove in-text references to citations. Don't write for example "This is a statement. See more about this in [1]", instead simply write "This is a statement.[1]"
  • Replace citations written like "This is a statement ([1])", see above for recommended formatting.
  • Get rid of in-text links, use citations instead.

Overall I thank you for your edits and the work you put into them. I would make these changes myself but I think you are far better acquainted with the topic and the references and therefore better suited to make the changes.

REPLY: Sir, thank you for your comments. I am implementing them, and also checking on some details with colleagues. For example, the page mentions the company Cyberkinetics. I believe that this company ceased operations and is no longer active.

An article you recently created, Brain Computer Interface Society, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the confirms on the Articles for Creation template atop the page. Hi Bzallison. I work on conflict of interest issues here in Wikipedia, along with my regular editing, which is mostly about health and medicine. Your edits to date are all about the BCI society and are promotional. Wikipedia is a widely-used reference work and managing conflict of interest is essential for ensuring the integrity of Wikipedia and retaining the public's trust in it. As in academia, COI is managed here in two steps - disclosure and a form of peer review. Please note that there is no bar to being part of the Wikipedia community if you want to be involved in articles where you have a conflict of interest; there are just some things we ask you to do (and if you are paid, some things you need to do).

Disclosure is the most important, and first, step. Here in Wikipedia such disclosures must be made explicitly. Would you please disclose any connection you have with the BCI Society? After you respond (and you can just reply below), I can walk you through how the "peer review" part happens and then, if you like, I can provide you with some more general orientation as to how this place works, which you will probably find helpful to getting the article accepted (or understanding why it cannot be). Nomination of CortiQ for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article CortiQ is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
