Marriage and health

[edit]

Hello Bwshul
I have been 'patrolling' new pages recently and it is is nice to see a well written page with references that is not a promo piece for some no name rapper or actor. And in coherent English!

I'm a bit surprised we didn't have a page on the topic, but I had a quick look and couldn't find one. One small tweak the page needs is that the reference should come immediately after the punctuation; full stop, comma, etc; without even a space. And it needs some wp:categorys added.

I see that it could need some expansion in some areas, I'm not pushing a barrow, but there doesnt seem to be any textual mention of 'non traditional' marriages such as same-sex, polygamy, or child brides (where there are certainly consequences ie pregnancy at very young ages). You do have one source related to gay/lesbian marriages. See also Same-sex_marriage#Health.

There also doesn't seem to be any mention of the often cited 'fact'? that marriage extends men's lives as against bachelors.

I would suggest that a very condensed paragraph be added to marriage with a Template:Main to direct readers needing more info to Marriage and health. 220 of Borg 02:22, 23 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

On second look regarding male life-span I see that you have used the no doubt more correct technical term 'mortality', whereas I was looking for 'death'! 220 of Borg 02:29, 23 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
