Mulamoottil Family prod
[edit]Howdy, I deleted the prod on Mulamoottil Family. I think it asserts notability, and it has one reference after a fashion (poorly cited). I improved the article a bit with wikilinks and headings, and marked it as a stub in some reasonably popular categories, so someone should pick it up. You might want to check on it in 5 days, and if it still suffers, then prod it again, or even mark it for speedy deletion with {{db-bio}} if you still feel it doesn't assert notability (and that one could not easily alter it to do so).
This is why I did not mark it for deletion when I was patrolling: I believe the topic is either made up or inherently notable (I don't know enough Indian culture to know if there is such a family, but if there ever was, it is likely notable due to the rigid caste system, etc. think of it like a royal family). Since he cites a source (poorly), one assumes it is not made up. Many articles on Indian history have very poor wikilinks, structure, punctuation, etc. I tend to think of it as our job as new page patrollers to fix them up as much as we can in one or two minutes, since we know more about the wikipedia process. The original author provides us with content we could not otherwise get (without spending weeks in a library reading things we are not interested in), and we provide the technical fix-ups they would have to spend weeks editing wikipedia to figure out. - Alright, let's see how this one turns out. --Buxbaum666 (talk) 13:39, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
