Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Bsita200, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.
I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Ocimum tenuiflorum
[edit]Hey there, welcome to Wikipedia! I just wanted to let you know I reverted your edits on Ocimum tenuiflorum because the information that was added was unsourced/missing inline citations. I'd be glad to help (if you need any help with that) or anything else. Otherwise, you can also post any questions you may have at Teahouse. In case you haven't come across it, here's a visual tutorial that you also might find helpful: https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Help:Introduction. If you think I've made a mistake, do let me know. - yes, I need help putting citations Bsita200 (talk) 19:01, 18 April 2023 (UTC)
- Sure no problem, I can try to explain it. If you look at the link I noted in my message above, and go to the Referencing section, it will also walk you through it. But basically if you are using visual editor (which I see that you are in your edits):
- place your cursor where you want the citation to appear
- click on the "Cite" button (up at the top) which will open up a dialog box
- in the automatic method, you can simply copy and paste a website, ISBN etc and it will generate the citation for you, if the information looks good you can click "Insert." Otherwise you can also change the information and then click Insert button.
- sometimes you have to manually enter the information when Automatic doesn't work
- Feel free to try it in your sandbox so you can play around with it. Hope this helps. Eucalyptusmint (talk) 22:29, 19 April 2023 (UTC)
