Spicy (talk) 16:22, 26 August 2021 (UTC)- Thanks again for your contributions. I've noticed that most of your editing seems to revolve around UNESCO world heritage sites - are you working for UNESCO, or do you have some other sort of connection with them? If so, you should be aware of our guidelines on conflict of interest and paid editing. (The major points are to declare your connection, submit drafts through AfC rather than create them directly (as you've been doing), and make edit requests on talk pages). Spicy (talk) 16:41, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
Thank you for accepting my article! No, I'm not affiliated with UNESCO, the UN, or any of their advisory bodies, I just like learning about different World Heritage Sites, and I definitely am not getting paid to edit them. My particular areas of expertise are ecology and geography, but a while ago, I noticed that many of the WHS have pretty information-sparse Wikipedia articles (especially ones dealing with cultural landscapes, or ones that were recently listed), and the rationale behind their inscriptions were often lacking. Therefore, I thought it would be a good idea to go through and systematically add information to articles on World Heritage Sites. Thank you for referring me to those guidelines, though -- I will make sure to review them and ensure that I am not breaking them. Brshipley (talk) 16:59, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
- Ok, thanks for clarifying and happy editing. :) Spicy (talk) 17:37, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
