Your question about the chessgames.com links in the infobox of chess opening articles is a good one. You will probably have the best luck if you centralize the discussion in one place rather than try to discuss it on each of the many Category:chess openings talk pages. I recommend creating a new section on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Chess. The project talk page is pretty quiet now (probably due to the holidays), but normally it is watched by the most active chess editors. You could also discuss it at Template talk:Infobox chess opening, since the chessgames.com link is a feature of that template. 24.177.121.141 (talk) 00:21, 28 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The use of links to ChessGames.com has been discussed by WP:CHESS (the chess project) and we decided to use them. But feel free to bring it up on the talk page there. Bubba73 (talk), 03:42, 29 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Haiku (!not)

Hi Broonsparrow,

I inadvertently left a post on your user page - rather than move that to this page, I'll wait to see if you read this post first.

Hi Klaus, I was being humerous in reference to AxelF@s pages where he states that Haiku is the best way to get his attention!

the page deleted a seven non-notable dispute : see below

Not really humerous, nor entertaining enough to repeat, and barly fits the Haiku template.....but since you asked! Broonsparrow (talk) 20:30, 27 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

"AxelF" - an 80's something artist / band, AlexF a rather vigorous censor at this site :-)

Should I pursue a Haiku audience with Alex then - it would take a few minutes to track down my limerick-in-haiku and post here, if there is even moderate interest.

P.S. there was no link to the deleted article, but if there is no literary masterpiece (or otherwise) there, then you are right, probably no interest in pursuing.

P.P.S. - Did you read the rather uncomplimentary comments that Anand made of Carlsen after former was defeated for FIDE title recently. Maybe Magnus is stifling the game, kind of a turn up for the books, as normally international rules act to slow games down because the master exponents just get too fast (javelin bore increased several decades back and table tennis ball diameter increased some 10% to handicap the wiry Chinese).
