Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Brocooli, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Media Mania, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{help me}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Eman235/talk 20:40, 8 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Media Mania

[edit]

The article Media Mania has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Most likely fails the general notability guideline, and "plot" section was evidently taken from the source it's referencing.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hello, I'm Velella. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Charlotte's Web (1973 film), but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.  Velella  Velella Talk   00:05, 4 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Using the thanks button

[edit]

I have no idea what you think you are playing at but you need to stop thanking me for edits I made years ago. So far you have thanked me for about 80 edits to Barney and Friends all of which date from 2007 - 2010. In fact you need to stop using the thanks button altogether. Continuing to do so will end with you being blocked. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Sunasuttuq 21:54, 19 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. As others have noted above, when you make a change to an article in this encyclopedia, you must cite reliable, published sources. See WP:V for more information about why the encyclopedia requires sources. If you do not cite your sources, your additions and changes may be removed, as I removed your recent additions at BrainPop. You may restore the information if you properly reference it. See WP:CITE for more information about citing sources. -- Ssilvers (talk) 18:57, 20 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Wikia is not a reliable source. You need sources like newspapers or regularly published magazines. -- Ssilvers (talk) 20:50, 20 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm an administrator at the English Wikipedia. Your comments here are inappropriate. Comment on content, not on the contributor. Your absurd statement "Don't be some kid with autism" and "if you don't, people will think your some kid with autism who likes deleting things for no reason" are grossly disrespectful and degrading not only to FilmandTVFan28, but also to autistic people who already have a tough gig. Seriously? You couldn't think of a better way to explain why edit summaries are important? Wikipedia does not tolerate incivility. This is a community editing project comprising millions of people from all backgrounds and skill sets and you should keep that well in mind if you elect to edit here. Thank you, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 20:16, 7 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, when I first heard about Jacob, I thought he was one of those Vandal with autism. But looking at it now, and after reading Palface Jack's reply, I felt really bad. And what makes me feel even bad is that I have Autism. I just that I have a history of saying things before I think. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Завтрак на траве (фильм) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.  I dream of horses  If you reply here, please ping me by adding {{U|I dream of horses}} to your message  (talk to me) (My edits) @ 02:56, 9 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The article Thomas Kuc has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. A tag has been placed on Thomas Kuc requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Hi Brocooli, I deleted the article on Cree. We cannot have unsourced biographies - please don't create any more, even if you are translating an unsourced bio from another language Wikipedia. All bios here need at least one reference to a reliable source like a newspaper or book. Remember that Cree is only a young teen and we cannot risk having an article about her without good sources backing what we say. If we cannot find these sources, it is best to have no article at all. We do this to protect the subjects of the articles. So - if you want to write articles about living people, get searching for good quality sources that discuss the subject in detail. Fences&Windows 23:17, 3 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Same with Thomas Kuc. You need to be sure that articles are well-referenced, and if you plan to create any article, you need to establish that the subject is notable, either per our general notability guideline (which you'd have to support with ample references from several mainstream publications) or per our more specific notability criteria. For actors, the specific notability criteria is WP:NACTOR, which states that at the very least you need to demonstrate that the subject has had significant roles in "multiple notable films, television shows, stage performances, or other productions." Any failure to accomplish this will result in articles being deleted. It's the bare-minimum effort that needs to be expended. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:12, 4 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made: you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. Clubjustin Talkosphere 00:47, 10 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Alyson Court. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Diff: [3] You've had ample time to learn how to provide references. Any more lazy editing like this will very likely result in your privileges being interrupted. If the subject has a verified Twitter account and you have a link to the post that confirms the information, then add the reference. Your words "Yep...She done it (Source was her twitter)" is of no value, since readers aren't going to check the edit history to find references. Nicole Schwartz and Friends moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Nicole Schwartz and Friends, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
