Speedy deletion of "List of new dinosaurs"

[edit]

A page you created, List of new dinosaurs, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a real person, group of people, band, club, company, organisation, or web content, but does not indicate why its subject is important or significant.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. Breawycker (talk to me!) Review Me! 23:17, 4 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as List of spinosaurs, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. The article Vastatosaurus has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No references.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Phearson (talk) 00:51, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Diplodocus. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. J. Spencer (talk) 01:20, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Bricksmashtv;

It would be appreciated if you would take more care in your edits and article creation. For example, it's not a problem if you don't like Majungasaurus over Majungatholus, or you don't accept Seismosaurus as a species of Diplodocus; that's all personal. However, it is a problem if you attempt to remove these things from the articles. Similarly, it's never a good idea to present fictional animals as real, or to make changes to an established list that make it look like non-dinosaurian reptiles are dinosaurs. Thank you for your time. J. Spencer (talk) 01:52, 19 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of SEISMOSAURUS GIGANTUS for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article SEISMOSAURUS GIGANTUS is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/SEISMOSAURUS GIGANTUS until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Reaper Eternal (talk) 19:32, 25 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
