I will also be touching upon the appearance of homonormative concepts today, both within liberation movements in the United States and abroad. - Looking at your draft, I think it's much to complex and detailed for a general encyclopedia entry. Your section is summarizing a few points by Brown. Identify just 2 of the important things about the subject--not just the definition because many of your classmates are working on expansions to closely related topics. Once you've done that, try to explain them in a single sentence. Then ask what stops you from using just that sentence to summarize Brown's ideas on the area. Remember, theirs is just one voice speaking on one facet of a topic that has a few. the current article talks a bit about it already. It is easier (especially on wikipedia, since we tend to work small) to add a few sentences than it would be to add three paragraphs or replace what is currently there with your draft.
- As you of course want to add more than 1-2 sentences, you'll want to find other voices on the topic. Different scholars writing about the subject, disagreeing with one another (or not, sometimes), adding a different perpective. If you plan to make a large addition to Wikipedia, keeping it neutral will always require seeking out more than one source. I hope this helps.
