I appreciate the effort in Ewa Sonnet, but could you put the material in your own words? Even though you give some attribution, such a long quote is going to be a copyright violation, because of the way you're using it instead of writing something, instead of to comment on it. I agree. (I've already removed the copyvio text.) Please write the text in your own words, using an endnote to give the proper credit to the website. Even if a text is translated, it is still copyright of the original writer. Thanks! -- Joe Beaudoin Jr. Think out loud 14:21, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
In reponse to your email, just write it in your own words. You might try putting the translation aside and trying to rewrite the main points from memory or something like that. You might have more luck if you concentrated on what the text is trying to say paragraph by paragraph instead of sentence by sentence. Try and boil the whole thing down to four or five sentences. Say what it's about, instead of saying what it says.
There's really no sense in presenting it "in full", as you suggest. That's not a particularly encyclopedic approach. Sorry. NickelShoe 15:07, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You need more than permission to use this image on Wikipedia. The copyright holder must agree to release this image under a free license, like the {{GFDL}} or the {{cc-by-sa-3.0}}. A free license allows others to modify and commercially redistribute the image, provided that the license is carried over. If you secure an explicit release under a free license, please forward it to permissions-en AT wikimedia DOT org. ˉˉanetode╦╩ 02:32, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Something like "I grant permission to copy, distribute and/or modify this document under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 or any later version published by the Free Software Foundation; with no Invariant Sections, no Front-Cover Texts, and no Back-Cover Texts." Make sure that he understands that this license allows others to modify and distribute the image. Then just forward that e-mail to permissions-en AT wikimedia DOT org. Thanks for following up on this, ˉˉanetode╦╩ 11:14, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nice job on securing the permission. Have you forwarded an e-mail to permissions-en AT wikimedia DOT org? ˉˉanetode╦╩ 17:25, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Great job, just checking in since you originally uploaded this image under a non-commercial license. ˉˉanetode╦╩ 00:51, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
