Perth Project

Vancouver is in canada - some editors would be quite upset if they saw that... we pride ourselves in the perth and wa project as not being as geographically challenged as the ruler of the western world - re border relations between canada and mexico SatuSuro 10:09, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

I would have checked if I wasn't sure. If they don't have to know about us, why do we have to know about them (not saying that Canada is as bad as the US, but I'm not a geographer anyway)? Why remove the links? Brian Jason Drake 10:15, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
Its a very good idea if you dont know where a project is to look inside the first page - it says canada. Re the links - in the project page - there is no need in identifying the country - the link is to the project SatuSuro 10:47, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
I was sure that Vancouver was in the US for some reason. Brian Jason Drake 11:04, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
I stongly advise you to avoid issues re places if that is the case. However, if you study the geography of USA carefully - you will find they have place names that would send the average person crazy - see - List of misleading place names is part of the nightmare (depending which way you look at it) SatuSuro 11:34, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

Template_talk:Merge#Special characters

re: Not sure where the appropriate place to put this is, but I found the following line in Mass-energy equivalence, which obviously doesn't render very well:

{{Merge|E%3Dmc%C2%B2|date=February 2007|Talk:E%3Dmc%C2%B2#Merge_with_Mass-energy_equivalence}}

Is this correct usage of this template?

Brian Jason Drake 03:19, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

  • "E%3Dmc%C2%B2" is because the Help:Magic words used are full url friendly vice people friendly. See the magic word forms with the double 'EE' suffixes. It is however, no problem, save for the strangeness to look at as the links work. There is a consensus on that page to merge the two now, if you have some time.
