I agree that the policy forlinking to fansites should be better defined. I am especially interested in allowing links to places such as fan-wikis, which might draw off people who want to add content that may be useful, but not encyclopedic. Do you think that could be (or should be) included in this? Blade 20:30, 25 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A wiki is really no different, it must still be a significant enough fansite to generally "make the cut". Handling wikis differently or treating them specially may lead to problems, especially as more and more sites are either opening wiki subprojects (Zelda Legends) or shifting everything to a wiki format (UESPwiki). Just because one site's gone wiki and another hasn't shouldn't give it any special handling IMO. GarrettTalk 10:41, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough. I guess I am particularly in fan sites that are particularly complete and wikis tend to be common for that nowadays (the example I am thinking of it Lostpedia). Now that I think about it, maybe I am angling more a definition of 'significant' fan sites that explicitly includes fan sites that are particularlu complete in their treatment of the subject. I just tend to think of wikis as usually being in that category. Blade 16:15, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
