The Glorious Tiger Inn

[edit]

Welcome, Breizhtalk. Your extensive efforts on the article about Tiger Inn are appreciated, but please note that you need to come up with citations to reliable sources for the material you've added. Without such citations, it is very likely that your edits will be reverted for failure to comply with Wikipedia's policies requiring verifiability and disallowing original research. Thanks for your attention and contributions to Wikipedia. --Arxiloxos (talk) 17:33, 15 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Arxiloxos.

As you were writing your thoughtful comment I added the most recent, and central, reference for the work I added, which is a comprehensive publication of the Tiger Inn's history from 1890 to 1997. In addition I have taken care when possible to include a Wikipedia link to another article for an item noted in the Tiger Inn article. The list of Notable Alumni were culled from the Tiger Inn history and in most cases added to the Tiger Inn article only AFTER a wikipedia article for the named individual could be found. While Tiger Inn is a private organization we feel it is OK to tie together existing public sources of info. The underlying references for the notable alums is contained in their articles. As time permits over the next several months we will add the citations from their articles to the Tiger Inn article. Please do not delete work added, which in every case has been added after verification with either Tiger Inn or Princeton histories, as described above. You could feel free to comment in this continuing dialogue or write me an email at lleguyad@aol.com. My interest in this topic is that I am a member of the Tiger Inn and I am the principal writer of several Wikipedia articles. Many thanks, and hope we continue to "talk." EXPANSION of ENTRY

[edit]

Thank you for the present entry on the best club at Princeton. TI is classic. The entry could be tightened, and I bet you and others will do so over time. SLY111SLY111 (talk) 12:46, 17 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Honour of Richmond, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Charles Lennox (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi, in Sept 2012 you added some info to this article about a land donation to the Roman Catholic church. diff. Can you drop by the Reference Desk where someone is asking about this info, and let them know your source and where they might research it further? Thanks! 184.147.136.249 (talk) 20:37, 18 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
