A tag has been placed on Night puma, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.
If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Icestorm815 (talk) 00:10, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
Your recent edits
Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 19:48, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
Regardless of how old you are, you need to stop leaving attack messages on other people's talk pages. I've left a link to the relevant Wikipedia policy above. And if you want to make up pages about imaginary things, perhaps you should try a site like Club Penguin. Accounting4Taste:talk 19:54, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
Adoption
Well, first things first. If you would like help, I would be willing to adopt you. But before that happens, I have one question. Are you serious about editing Wikipedia? If you are, I'd be willing to help you out. Oh, and by the way, don't forgot to sign your messages using four tildes ( ~~~~ ). I see that Sinebot got you for that. Cheers, Redmarkviolinist Drop me a line 23:30, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
Club Penguin
Thanks for your note. I think it's smart not to want to give your e-mail address away. If you want to have an e-mail account that you can give out without worrying about it, you can go to www.hotmail.com and set up a free account there; you will have to use your own e-mail address to get that one, but you don't need to worry about giving your e-mail address to Hotmail. I hope this helps you, and I think you will enjoy Club Penguin. If I can be of any further assistance, you can leave me a note. Accounting4Taste:talk 22:04, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

Talk:Dragon
Welcome to Wikipedia! I am glad to see you are interested in discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages such as Talk:Dragon are for discussion related to improving the article, not general discussion about the topic. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. Thank you. WLU (talk) 16:18, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
Talk: puma concolor
I agree that talk pages are not for open discussion of topics, but as a hunter I could'nt let another young person be indoctrinated that all hunting is bad and disrespectful of creatures. Cougars were once hunted openly as a dangerous predator and livestock killer. Now all hunting of cougars is restricted and some states have even banned hunting this magnificant creature. Its numbers are rising and it is even seen in urban areas. Increasing incroachment of humans in cougar habitat causes danger to both cougars and humans. Many children have been killed by cougars in the United States. see: List_of_fatal_cougar_attacks_in_North_America_by_decade If hunting was allowed as a way to keep cougars from becoming habituated to humans and reduce their numbers near urban areas many cougars and humans would not have had to die. Bugguyak (talk) 19:48, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
- No matter how you feel about the subject, you have been warned once about Wikipedia:No personal attacks. Leaving personal attacks on peoples talk pages is not a reasonable way of getting your point across. Bugguyak (talk) 18:13, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

I would not like you to put nonsense onto your comments because for a seven-and-a-half year old, I'm full of logic and good explanations. Hi Puma, thanks for the barnstar (cool, my second one), and also, awesome job with the reception section, perfectly balanced. A dragon indeed, and a fast one :) Sloggerbum (talk) 22:46, 16 June 2011 (UTC)

Long Shadows reception
Heya! I saw you adding stuff to the Long Shadows reception section. Generally, it seems to me that other editors frown upon Amazon and other sites like that for reviews (basically, reader/user reviews), which kinda bothers me because editorial reviews for Warriors are really hard to find... anyway, I dug up a semi-review from Horn Book Review: it reviews both Long Shadows and Sunrise at the same time: [1] Brambleclawx 21:12, 17 June 2011 (UTC)

Re:WikiLore
What would such a project entail? A combination of WikiFauna and policies (declared or otherwise) would work, with possibly a moral reached at the end. That is, great stories that are humorous but are like an Aesop fable for Wikipedia. Sounds interesting, though! I'm in. Finalius (gibberings) 19:01, 18 June 2011 (UTC)
- You can start one up and I'll see what I can do. However, the more "educational" it is, the more likely it is to stay. Finalius (gibberings) 13:07, 19 June 2011 (UTC)
Hello hello again
Lol, I love it, good job. Be prepared to face other editors, tho, and I'd recommend you don't take it personally if it meets with some serious debate as an addition (or undergoes some length chopping); it seems to be a regular occurrence with new wikifauna additions, regardless of content. For a positive example, see the deletion discussion about Wolfcubs, which ended well thanks to the efforts of User:ThatPeskyCommoner. You can also see his discussions on the topic here. I'd recommend you take a look at how those went to prepare for possible discussion about the WikiPuma page, and if it does come up, don't get defensive as apparently WikiPumas are prone to being. In this case, eagerness to improve the page according to a community opinion would probably go over best (and may involve some shortening, as it's a bit long).
I'm generally no good at handling these sorts of things on Wiki (they stress me out, I'd rather go play in a sandbox), but User:Bob the Wikipedian may be able to help. He's the mastermind behind the Otter/Dragon reservation and a member of the WikiFun Police. Likewise, I suppose User:ThatPeskyCommoner could offer advice, as he successfully got a page up.
Overall, I think it does a great job meeting the Wikifauna inclusion criteria, so I say go for it :) Sloggerbum (talk) 02:00, 21 June 2011 (UTC)
- Also, I thought the part about WikiPumas getting stressed out, aggressive, and then skittish when yelled at (scared of fire) was hilarious; I'd recommend summing those parts up in the box at the top somehow, as that may help differentiate the WikiPuma from WikiOgres and WikiCats and the like at first glance. WP:NTHINGS mischief
Ever hear that the journey is better than the destination? Keep that in mind when editing the list from now on. It seems that quality is beginning to be sacrificed for the sake of getting to 3000. Please don't split one entry over 45 lines anymore, or write 10 entries in a row about the same thing. This applies to everyone, nothing personal. Mix it up a little! And by the way, do you know of any articles I can help with? I'm really at a low point. Finalius (gibberings) 18:57, 30 June 2011 (UTC)

BARNSTARS! :-)
HOW DO YOU EARN BARNSTARS Special:Contributions/Beerparty is back (talk) 21:33, 14 December 2011 (UTC)Beerparty is back
- Well, you need to do something special. There are different kinds of barnstars. For example, you might get the Warriors barnstar for drastically improving an article revolving around the Warriors book series. I got my barnstar for writing 68 entries in N things not to write your article about in fifteen minutes without dropping the quality in my entries. Usually if you stick around the site for a while you'll get a barnstar for something. Brambleberry, RiverClan Medicine Cat Visit ♠ Follow 23:32, 14 December 2011 (UTC)

One of my goals as resident, is to work with Wikipedians and staff to improve content on Wikipedia about people who have collections held in the Archives - most of these are scientists who held roles within the Smithsonian and/or federal government. I thought you might like to participate since you are interested in the sciences! Sign up to participate here and dive into articles needing expansion and creation on our to-do list. Feel free to make a request for images or materials at the request page, and of course, if you share your successes at the outcomes page you will receive the SIA barnstar! ref placement in reftoolbar
I saw your question for a week or two back--were you placing the cursor where you wanted the insertion to happen before you clicked on "cite news" or whatever? That's how it should work. (I think refToolbar 1.0 was less modal, so you could change it after you'd launched the form, which was nicer.) --j⚛e deckertalk 00:57, 16 July 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, I was, and it still places it at the very beginning. I've given up on using automatic citation altogether (1.0 doesn't do anything when I press the cite button, 2.0a is still at the beginning, and I'm not going to clear my cache just because 2.0b sometimes disappears.) Brambleberry of RiverClan Mew ♠ Tail 13:26, 16 July 2012 (UTC)
- How very odd. I've just gotten all three to work, although it does require clearing cache to switch from one to another, and I had to do it a couple times for 2.0a to show up. I've just gone and added cites to articles using all three successfully. Assuming you're on a moderately modern browser and don't have too much (Javascript?) locked down, the only other explanation I can fathom is that some other gadget is conflicting. Most of my editing work in the last few years has just taken the form of "adding references", so for me the auto tools are a lifesaver--sticking with 1.0 because the auto-fill from Google Books ISBN is the fastest way to work ever for book references. I wish I had a better, constructive suggestion to make! --j⚛e deckertalk 19:49, 16 July 2012 (UTC)
