Information icon Hello, Bradyb0412. I noticed that your recent edit to Odostomia lukisii added a link to an image on an external website or on your computer, or to a file name that does not exist on Wikipedia's server. For technical and policy reasons it is not possible to use images from external sources on Wikipedia. Most images you find on the internet are copyrighted and cannot be used on Wikipedia, or their use is subject to certain restrictions. If the image meets Wikipedia's image use policy, consider uploading it to Wikipedia yourself or request that someone else upload it. See the image tutorial to learn about wiki syntax used for images. Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that you recently added commentary to an article, The Queen's Commonwealth Trust. While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments belong on the article's accompanying talk page. If you post your comments there, other editors working on the same article will notice and may respond to them, and your comments will not disrupt the flow of the article. However, keep in mind that even on the talk page of an article, you should limit your discussion to improving the article. Article talk pages are not the place to discuss opinions of the subject of articles, nor are such pages a forum. Thank you. 49ersBelongInSanFrancisco (talk) 06:38, 8 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Buist Tract moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Buist Tract. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 22:35, 1 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 1 World Trade Center (1971–2001), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Pure Energy. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Why do important articles have to to be British? Bradyb0412 (talk) 20:29, 26 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
See Wikipedia:Manual of Style#National varieties of English. Remsense ‥  20:33, 26 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
But science isn't a location.
British and American people spell science in the same way. Is there something about science that makes it British? If not, then if science is done internationally, then should it matter what dialect of English we should be talking about it in? Science wasn't only developed in the UK. ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add NoACEMM to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:54, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Bradyb0412, can I ask what your reasoning was for moving the page Caelus to Caelus (Roman god)? I don't see any need to disambiguate here; there isn't any other "Caelus" covered on Wikipedia. – Michael Aurel (talk) 21:26, 29 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

... and now to Caelus (mythology)? – Michael Aurel (talk) 21:27, 29 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I've had it moved back to Caelus. If you think it should have a different title, please start a WP:Requested move. – Michael Aurel (talk) 02:28, 30 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 month for persistently making disruptive edits. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you believe that there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: .  UtherSRG (talk) 12:09, 6 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Dear UtherSRG,

Request reason:

It was only diacritical changes. The archipelago, even in English, is commonly referred to as "The Galápagos Islands." I was also going to include "also known as." For consistency with the titles of other articles, such as "Galápagos tortoise", I decided to add the diacritic. changeBradyb0412 (talk) 22:23, 6 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You haven't responded to Deepfriedokra's post in 2 weeks. I am declining this unblock request, and encourage you to make a new one where you describe what actions led to you being blocked, what you would do differently, and how you would avoid problems in the future. PhilKnight (talk) 15:19, 21 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the unblock template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Bradyb0412 (talk) 22:23, 6 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

That's just one of several incidents, I'm afraid. Please describe what actions led to you being blocked, what you would do differently, and how you would avoid problems in the future.-- Deepfriedokra (talk) 19:10, 7 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Apology

[edit]

I should have focused more on the articles themselves than their titles, and to avoid future blocks, I would fix articles instead of titles. Also, I respect not only various dialects of English, but other languages, and the title is just what the topic is most commonly referred to as. Although I have been a disruptive editor, it's time for my edits to be less disruptive. It may sound tempting to be disruptive in certain situations, but there is more bad than good in disruptive edits. There were many incidents when I did this, but my edits were too disruptive, so I got banned. In the meantime, I worked on other wikis, and learned, not just about to topics of the articles, but about how those articles are made. I know disruptive editing isn't as bad as vandalism, but it is still bad. I'm sorry for my actions, and will make my edits less disruptive. Bradyb0412 (talk) 06:35, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@UtherSRG, I admit I haven't looked into this one much, but one month on the first block is pretty long. They're about halfway through, now - long enough? -- asilvering (talk) 01:36, 22 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
They haven't been able to formulate a proper unblock request statement. I don't think they yet understand. - UtherSRG (talk) 01:40, 22 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Look at my "Apology" message. That is my unblock request. Bradyb0412 (talk) 01:49, 22 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please describe what actions led to you being blocked, what you would do differently, and how you would avoid problems in the future. Do you believe that's what you have done in your "apology"? - UtherSRG (talk) 01:57, 22 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This user is asking that their block be reviewed:

Bradyb0412 (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

Notes:

 • In some cases, you may not in fact be blocked, or your block has already expired. Please check the list of active blocks. If no block is listed, then you have been autoblocked by the automated anti-vandalism systems. Please remove this request and follow these instructions instead for quick attention by an administrator.
 • Please read our guide to appealing blocks to make sure that your unblock request will help your case. You may change your request at any time.
Administrator use only:

If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, replace this template with the following, replacing "blocking administrator" with the name of the blocking admin:

If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following code, substituting with a specific rationale. Leaving the decline reason unchanged will result in display of a default reason, explaining why the request was declined.

If you accept the unblock request, replace this template with the following, substituting Accept reason here with your rationale:
