MBTA images[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia! I really appreciate the great images of the Fitchburg Line you've been adding. However, I do have a few requests:

  • Please give your images more descriptive filenames. (For example, I moved File:1405 Shirley.jpg to File:Outbound train at Shirley station, March 2020.jpg) This makes it easier to find the images from a search.
  • Add other categories as appropriate. For example, for the Shirley image, I added Category:MBTA in 2020, Category:March 2020 in Massachusetts, Category:Level crossings in Massachusetts, and Category:Bombardier BTC-1A coaches.
  • When adding the images to the infobox in the article, just use the filename (ie. |image = Outbound train at Shirley station, March 2020.jpg ). This just displays the nice infobox-size version. You've been adding the full-scale images, which take up the whole page.
  • When adding the caption in the article, please consider context. An outbound train at Shirley station in March 2020 is much more useful to a reader than A passenger prepares to board a train at Shirley.

Feel free to ask me if you have questions! Cheers, Pi.1415926535 (talk) 19:29, 27 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the kind words! I'll be sure to execute your requests when I post again. I look forward to submitting more!BradyRider (talk) 01:47, 28 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
