Cannon Mills Article

[edit]

I have a lot of Kannapolis pictures on my hd, mostly from 1950-present day. Also have 8mega pixel photographs from the implosion on 3-24. I'm not sure how to get them to you or the article. Maybe I can assist you with the Cannon Mills article. Also just started the James William Cannon article...

Kannapolis and Cannon Manufacturing Company

[edit]

Are you going to write the article on Cannon Mills and its successors? That would be great!

Cannon Mills Article

[edit]

I have just started the stub for the Cannon Mills Corporation article. Feel free to add as you see fit. Mg rotc2487 00:56, 9 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That racer is from Kannapolis...

[edit]

According to [1], which is a pretty good source. 1ne 07:08, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The point isn't where the racer is "from". The point in question is where the racer was born. The source you cited, differs from the racer's official biography. Being a citizen of Kannapolis, I am certain that David Ragan's birthplace is not Kannapolis, unless he was born at home. There are no hospitals in Kannapolis, and the chances of someone of his youth being born at home are slim to none. Brad Spry 23:39, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Untagged image

[edit]

An image you uploaded, Image:Universityofnorthcarolinasy.png, was tagged with the {{coatofarms}} copyright tag. This tag was deleted because it does not actually specify the copyright status of the image. The image may need a more accurate copyright tag, or it may need to be deleted. If the image portrays a seal or emblem, it should be tagged as {{seal}}. If you have any questions, ask them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. -- 14:34, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

Hello, Bradspry. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:ColorLogo low res.gif) was found at the following location: User:Bradspry. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 22:37, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Mcbcolor03-100.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Mcbcolor03-100.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 18:59, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use Image:Ncrccentralcampus.png

[edit]
Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Ncrccentralcampus.png. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Rettetast (talk) 12:00, 8 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Ncrccentralcampus.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Ncrccentralcampus.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stifle (talk) 11:04, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
