Port Talbot Railway No. 26 moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Port Talbot Railway No. 26, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hello, Bradley Wurth. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Bradley Wurth. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Port Talbot Railway No. 26".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Dolotta (talk) 21:18, 25 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Britcar, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Dunlop (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hi, When you copy content from one article to another you need to leave attribution in the edit summary. For example, when you copied the lead section of Ginetta GT4 Supercup to 2020 Ginetta GT4 Supercup you should have left an edit summary in the format of: "Content in this edit from Ginetta GT4 Supercup; please see the history of that page for full attribution" --John B123 (talk) 00:36, 14 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

1000km or 1000 km?

[edit]

G'day mate, I've bumped into you somewhere previously & my question is should the naming scheme for these events be "1000km" (without space), or "1000 km" (with space)? There is no consistent naming scheme & I'm just wondering if you lean towards any specific one. This link uses "1000km", so I'm inclined to lean towards that. Any thoughts? Britcar Endurance 2022

[edit]

Good job on all the work you have put into the Britcar Endurance article.

I have just reverted your reversion of my edit which took out the Team BRIT Maclaren. It was never raced in Endurance - I spent the whole of 2022 with Team BRIT , and the last part of 2021

Bobby and Aaron raced the MacLaren in GT, the Aston was raced in Endurance. J R Spigot (talk) 23:00, 7 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hiya, in case anyone is interested in the story of this, we'd been testing the British GT entered McLaren on the Friday before the Britcar meeting, and the day had been full of red flags. I had Bobby and Aaron there with the car so I decided last minute on the Friday evening to enter the car as a one-off to run a race simulation in lieu of the testing we hadn't had, ahead of the British GT round a fortnight later. So we did enter the race, albeit completely unplanned and without much of a media annoucement. Bob & Aaron started from the pitlane to stay out of lap 1 trouble, I vaguely remember they went on to finish 4th in class. Regards - ALLOCKE|talk 16:38, 22 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Porsche 963

[edit]

why did you remove the bit that said they did not start? I thought it would be nice to inform readers why a planned 963 team did not race a 963. Leaving it empty otherwise would cause some confusion, no? Thanks. X750. Spin a yarn? Articles I've screwed over? 20:18, 10 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Neither car was entered for the event. For a did not start to be even noted, either team's Porsche 963 chassis would've had to have at least been on site for a "DNS" to be the "result", even though there is no result for JDC-Miller or Proton's Porsche 963 at Daytona, as they haven't even taken possession of their cars yet, and won't do until the end of April, hence why the former ran a Duqueine D-08 and the latter an Oreca 07. The article states that JDC-Miller and Proton "instead opted to run a Duqueine D-08 and Oreca 07, respectively". Simply put, the article already informs readers, clearly, why a planned 963 team did not race a 963 before they get to the results section. BrokenGearbox (talk) 20:32, 10 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
