Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Brádach Mac Gormáin, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits to the page Reign in Blood did not conform to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may have been removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations verified in reliable, reputable print or online sources or in other reliable media. Always provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to The Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to change genres without discussion or sources, as you did at Reign in Blood, you may be blocked from editing. Robvanvee 05:03, 9 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you change genres in pages without discussion or sources, as you did at Slash discography. Robvanvee 11:47, 10 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your repeated unsourced edits.

[edit]

Brádach Mac Gormáin, despite the repeated warnings above, you continue with the unsourced edits, specifically to genres. These edits are highly disruptive and your refusal to comply with fellow editors requests to source your edits will eventually lead to the removal of your editing privileges. Take this opportunity to learn how to add reliable sources with this guideline. Thanks you. Robvanvee 11:56, 10 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I gave you the sources. Work it out, boy. They were there in plain English. Brádach Mac Gormáin (talk) 17:42, 27 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please explain to me how Slash can be involved in bands which are described as glam metal, heavy metal and alternative metal ( Guns 'n' roses ) and ( Velvet Revolver ) on Wikipedia itself and yet not be in his own right a glam metal, heavy metal and alternative metal guitarist. Who was the lead guitarist so then in these bands, another guitarist called "Slashother"? And as regards reign in blood, like i said check out the issues of Raw magazine in the late 1980's/ early 1990's where Slayer were described as a Death Metal/ Speed Metal act. Go look them up if they have been archived somewhere and I bet you any money those terms will appear. And once again if Guns n roses were a glam metal and heavy metal act at different times during their career how can their lead guitarist not have been a glam metal and heavy metal guitarist at different times in his career? My sources, Wikipedia itself. You guys. And then just some common sense reasoning being employed thereafter. Where is the disruptiveness in that? Brádach Mac Gormáin (talk) 17:56, 27 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You may want to review WP:IRE-IRL which is why I reverted your edits. ww2censor (talk) 22:31, 26 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please comply with this policy and stop these unproductive edits. ww2censor (talk) 12:06, 27 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Repeated disruptive edits

[edit]

You have been pointed to the Wikipedia Ireland guidelines page of WP:IMOS, and various subsections of this, on multiple occasions by multiple editors yet you still refuse to follow those guidelines. You continually add Republic of Ireland when there is no ambiguity of the Ireland being discussed, and you continue to try and split mentions of Ireland and UK into Britain and Ireland, thereby moving from countries to arbitrary landmasses. Almost every edit you've ever made to Wikipedia has been reverted by one editor or another. At this point it's starting to look like this may not be the place for you as at this point you are causing more work by other editors than you are providing in value. Please prove me wrong. Please abide by WP:IMOS and other Wikipedia policies and guidelines. Please stop trying to separate country references into landmasses. Please contribute additional content that is supported by sources rather than entering things just because you know them, unfortunately you are not a WP:Reliable source. Additionally stop with the unsourced genre warring and altering on music articles. If you don't have a source that you can immediately quote, then you can't make the change. Even better, take it to the talk page of the article and try and get consensus for the change there. If you continue to make edits contrary to WP:IMOS, or your edits continue to be continually reverted by other editors for the above reasons, then you may be blocked from editing as competence is required on Wikipedia. I ask that you prove me wrong and continue editing but in a more constructive manner. Thanks. Canterbury Tail talk 12:54, 10 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm FlightTime Phone. Please refrain from changing genres, as you did to Vincent Price even if you provide a/some source(s), you'll still need to start a discussion on the article talk page to allow editors who regular watch that page a chance to discuss the reliability of the source(s) you provided. One reason is, genre sources can easily be considered an opinion and not fact. Genre's are a touchy subject here on Wikipedia and without discussion/consensus, regardless of your source(s), your addition or removal will most likely be reverted. Your edit has been reverted and archived in the page history for now.

Unsourced genre changes to suit your own point of view are considered disruptive.

Thank you. - FlightTime Phone (open channel) 23:13, 12 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. - FlightTime (open channel) 17:43, 3 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you change genres in pages without discussion or sources, as you did at Heaven and Hell (Black Sabbath album). - FlightTime (open channel) 17:57, 3 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
