Thanks for your quick response! I will edit topics related to the entertainment industry and film & tv. In terms of PAID & COI, as per request I am disclosing that I do work for Boston Casting—they are my employer and I am an assistant in the office helping set up a Wikipedia page for the company, as the company is growing larger and we want to provide reliable information about Boston Casting's history and purpose without promotion involved, similar to Central Casting. I am going to be frank with you, and I apologize in advance, but I believe honest, direct communication is best for all. You seem to be operating under some (very common, actually) misunderstandings about Wikipedia. Wikipedia does not have "company pages" that exist for a company's use. Wikipedia has articles about companies, typically written by independent editors wholly unconnected with the topic. Those independent editors write about topics that they take note of in independent reliable sources that receive significant coverage(not press releases, announcements, interviews, or brief mentions).
Articles exist to summarize those sources and show how a company meets the special Wikipedia definition of a notable company(please read). They will not say what (in this case) a company might prefer that it say, and the company/its representatives has no more rights to it than any other editor. They don't exist to allow the company to tell the world about what it does and what it considers to be its own history- Wikipedia wants to know what others unconnected with the company say is the company's history. The article Ford Motor Company does not tell what Ford says is its history, but what independent reliable sources say is its history. If the history of your company is not written about by independent sources on their own, it can't be on Wikipedia. It can be on your company social media accounts and its own website- the proper place for your company to speak about itself. You say you want to tell about your company history and purpose without promotion- that is not possible, because it is promotional, at least on Wikipedia. You do not have to be soliciting or selling something.
The best thing for you to do, in my personal opinion at least, is to abandon efforts to try to force the creation of a Wikipedia article. The best indicator that a company meets the Wikipedia definition of a notable company is when independent editors see that and write about it on their own. Companies that try to force the issue themselves are not usually successful.
Lastly, a Wikipedia article is not necessarily a good thing for your company. There are good reasons to not want one. Disgruntled customers/clients/competitors could vandalize your article with false information- it would eventually be removed, but not necessarily instantly(just one example of a negative aspect of a Wikipedia article). Any information about your company, good or bad, can be in an article about it as long as it appears in an independent reliable source and is not defamatory.
I apologize for the information overload, but these are all important points. It's going to be hard for you to edit about the entertainment industry and comply with WP:COI. If you wish to do so nevertheless, please tell how you will go about doing that. I so appreciate your honest and thorough response. I'll let you know that we first started to explore the Wikipedia article route because we are working to get our social media accounts verified and we have all of the qualifications except a Wikipedia article. We are a small business so we aren't sure when someone will write one about us, but our traffic and popularity calls for a verified account on socials. However, I totally understand now the purpose of how Wikipedia operates, and we'll keep our fingers crossed that someone will write something about us in the future. Based on the article that you have sent about notable companies, we do fall under the criteria of a notable company—so if there is a way to "apply" for an article to be written about the company, please let me know! There is a place called Requested Articles to make suggestions for articles to be created- but the backlog there is beyond severe, and any request you make may not be acted on for a long time, if ever. 331dot (talk) 20:35, 19 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

That is a route, but not a guarantee. I and some others who review these requests usually like to see people in your position edit in areas unrelated to their COI for a time, to demonstrate understanding of Wikipedia content and other guidelines before a user puts their time and effort, and makes volunteer editors spend their time reviewing, into creating a draft. Other admins would be willing to give you a shot if you can otherwise convince us you understand guidelines and other things you have been told. That might work if you provide the three best independent reliable sources with significant coverage of your company. Such sources cannot be staff interviews, the company website, press releases, announcements of routine business activities, or other primary sources. You may do that in another unblock request that someone else will review.
And, again to be frank, Wikipedia has no interest in the verification processes social media imposes on your company. Wikipedia has no control over what social media requires to verify accounts. 331dot (talk) 23:24, 19 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
