Information icon Hello, I'm Bongwarrior. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Valdosta High School, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! --Bongwarrior (talk) 22:14, 23 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons. Thank you. --Bongwarrior (talk) 22:18, 23 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I honestly don't understand why I was blocked. I believe it may have been because I repeatedly did not supply a reliable source to some information. However, I was only trying to update the page for the school I work at because the page has become outdated. I have now looked up how to correctly source my information and will try not to commit any more offences. I sincerely apologize and will strive to keep the page as true to the goals of Wikipedia as possible.

Decline reason:

One request at a time, please. Max Semenik (talk) 04:31, 24 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Please provide sources here for the information you added. --NeilN talk to me 03:03, 24 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, no problem :http://vhs.gocats.org/ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0382621/. I apologize, but I can't remember everything I changed.

Decline reason:

None of these address the information added here. As a reference for information, you need to provide a reliable source that says precisely what you're writing about. If no source says that, it can't be in an article. And a movie as a source about a real person... is not a source. Max Semenik (talk) 04:31, 24 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I'm really sorry for taking your time. I'm new to this starting today and I was told by the principal (who is now Dr. Parker Campiglia: it wouldn't let me change that, either) to update the Wikipedia page for the school, but I didn't know that there was a whole process that someone went through to alter the information on here. Now, I understand and it DOES make sense, however, all I wish to do is change a few things on this one page. Is there any way you can simply give me domain on the single page for some changes? Or, I could give you the changes and you could make them. Thank you for you consideration. I'm extremely sorry for the inconvenience. Boomersooner99 (talk) 04:02, 24 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sources for:

  • Marquis Grant - convicted serial killer
  • Death of Laurnah Chitty

Please stop wasting our time with nonsensical sources like IMDB and a funeral home website. --NeilN talk to me 04:24, 24 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

@NeilN thank you for the help. What sources should I use instead to reference the movie? And also for Laurnah Chitty, does that not need a reference or where do I go to source that if a funeral home doesn't work? I honestly only need to change that one page. Also, @MaxSem sorry I'm not sure how to work these appeals :) Boomersooner99 (talk) 15:48, 24 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, but after reviewing your "sources", they do not seem to back up your claims in any way. Kuru (talk) 17:24, 24 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A convicted serial killer would generate a lot of news reports. Where are they? --NeilN talk to me 16:02, 24 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

That is my fault. @NeilN Boomersooner99 (talk) 16:37, 24 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

"gained asylum in Nigeria in 1984 and died shortly afterwards of unknown causes" vs. "When the Indiana Parole Board nearly released Grant from prison in 1999..." Just go away. Another admin can respond to your unblock request but I'll be removing your talk page access to stop you wasting more of our time. --NeilN talk to me 16:55, 24 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
