Article assignment
[edit]Hi. I noticed that you assigned yourself the climate change article to improve as part of your assignment. I wanted to let you know that this article is Featured Article, which means that it is among Wikipedia's best work. While there might be room to make a few small improvements to Featured Articles, they are going to be fairly complete. In addition, edits to them should conform fully with Wikipedia's Style Manual. Featured Articles are challenging to work on, especially as part of your your first major contribution to Wikipedia. - Hello @Boomerdoge: I agree with Ian that the climate change article itself would be very tough to improve. But I am glad to see you are interested in climate change and I hope you will choose an article to improve related to the subject. I guess you might be American and know a lot about the country? There are several articles I could suggest depending on your objectives: for example if you wanted to just write new text then Climate change policy of the United States obviously needs Biden policy added.
- But if I understand your course objectives right perhaps a good match might be Greenhouse gas emissions by the United States. I feel that although some of the individual graphics are good, as a whole the article is visually a mess. For example I think the graphics don't go well together and the "mitigation efforts" section is mostly a lot of untidy lists, whereas it ought to be easy to read prose. What do you think?
- Anyway whatever you choose I hope you enjoy your course.
