McAfee presidential campaign revert

Hello,

You reverted an edit I made discussing candidate McAfee's ineligibility for the U.S. Presidency; you reverted it because it was uncited. I was under the impression that common knowledge didn't have to be footnoted - in this case that the U.S. Constitution expressly forbids persons born on foreign soil from holding the Presidency or Vice-Presidency. If there's some exemption he has (unlikely because the sole exception is U.S. military bases abroad) shouldn't that be documented as well? Dkendr (talk) 14:01, 5 December 2016 (UTC)

That part is true. The problem I had with it was the "does not appear to be a factor in his defeat" part of it. This is a claim, not an observation of the application of the US Constitution. You need some source that shows that it did not factor into his defeat if you want to say this. I'm ok with documenting the fact that he was ineligible due to being born outside the US. --bojo1498 talk 16:38, 5 December 2016 (UTC)

Wayne Brady Bio edit (12/18/16)

Not sure where to put this but you just declined my edit on Wayne Brady's bio page. The edit in question is of him being on an episode of Sy-Fy's Original Series Aftermath (2016 TV series). I guess I could you know, leave this here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt5797772/fullcredits/ (he is the 14th name down. (and not that this matters, I literally wrote that edit after watching the episode he was on) God this sounds passive aggressive...

Hey there. I see that link supports what you added, so add the info again, but include that reference this time! That's all you need to do. It's just important to make sure that information that is added is properly supported by reliable sources. Also, on a different note, please remember to make new talk sections at the bottom of pages, and always remember to sign your posts. Thanks! --bojo1498 talk 23:38, 18 December 2016 (UTC)

Dan Marino Edit

MISTAKE, PLEASE SEE ACCURATE POST BELOW.

Hello, Im a Matthew Stafford fan, I noticed that Matthew Stafford was not once listed on Dan Marino's page despite him now breaking two of his records for passing yard milestones in the fewest number of games, I sought to correct this and also give Peyton Manning his respect with the Dan Marino record he broke, which Drew Brees later broke again. My point is That i dont know how to place sources. Here is may edited text, and the sources from which the information can be verified. The last is Matthew Staffords page to show where he broke these records.

  • Fastest player to reach 30,000 career passing yards 114
  • Fastest player to reach 35,000 career passing yards 134
  • Fastest player to reach 40,000 career passing yards 153
  • Fastest player to reach 45,000 career passing yards 172
  • Fastest player to reach 60,000 career passing yards 236

Hey there. Take a look at this page on citing sources. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask!--hwalk | talk | contribs 03:40, 23 December 2016 (UTC)

  • Do you think those sources are enough to justify my changes?
I'd trust all except for the "funtrivia.com", "footballnation.com" and "dolphinsinfo" sites. I'd encourage you to find more reliable sources for whatever information you garner from those pages, or don't include that information. I'd also recommend you take a look at Wikipedia:Talk_page_guidelines, since it seems you may be having some issues with using talk pages. Let me know if you have any more questions! --hwalk | talk | contribs 21:44, 23 December 2016 (UTC)

There is no refrence to that the pathan word that is mentioned so thats why i removed .

It is good if there is reference to that word . I request if you could remove it unless somebody puts a reference to his ethnicity. Thankyou

In the article imrankhan(actor)

Then I'd encourage you to make the edit again, but this time mention in the edit summary why you are removing the content (in this case because it is unsourced). Also, I'd encourage you to remember to sign your posts!. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks! --hwalk | talk | contribs 06:16, 25 December 2016 (UTC)

Thankyou for your guidance . I changed it and explained the reason in the edit summary.Utom1987 (talk) 06:38, 25 December 2016 (UTC)

Re: Spinnin' Records Edit

Hello Bojo

The reason why i undid your removal of Porter Robinson is because he is indeed once in the label before (now no more). As you notice, his name lies under the "Past" section. Since he no longer associates with Spinnin, its reasonable why his wiki article did not mention the label (since its already been 3 years he had left). I did some research to confirm if he actually had songs released under Spinnin Records, through their youtube channel. Turns out he has 1 with a collaboration with Mat Zo, called "Easy". Even though its just 1 song, its still considered as him once signed in the label. I hope this clarify your doubt on why i undid your edit. Anyways i wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy new year ahead! — Preceding unsigned comment added by TheCorrectorr (talkcontribs) 08:07, 25 December 2016 (UTC)

Hey there. I understand what you are saying, it is just very important to make sure you have reliable sources to back up changes that you make. In the future, I'd encourage you to mention sources for any changes you make to factual information. Also, I'd encourage you to remember to sign your posts!. Merry Christmas and happy editing! --hwalk | talk | contribs 18:23, 25 December 2016 (UTC)

Multani dialect

Multani is other name of saraiki.

Hey there. As you may have noticed, the reason I reverted your edit is because you did not cite a source. I'm not debating accuracy here. I see you have provided a link here, however I wouldn't consider quora a reliable source, since it is open to anyone to add answers to, and the answer you linked to provided no sources for the information. For all I know, that was you answering that question. If you can find a reliable source, I'd encourage you to add the information along with that source. Let me know if you have any other questions! Happy holidays (if you celebrate any of those around this time)! --hwalk | talk | contribs 18:19, 25 December 2016 (UTC)

Pending changes

I don't understand why you accepted this edit. The citation doesn't mention Horowitz. It appears the IPs have a WP:COI, puffing up Horowitz. Toddst1 (talk) 15:22, 28 December 2016 (UTC)

That is my bad. I did not look closely enough at the linked article. Thanks for noticing and fixing that! --hwalk | talk | contribs 15:25, 28 December 2016 (UTC)

Easy on the warnings

I just took a look at a half dozen or so recent warnings you've given out recently and I think you should lay off them. this edit is not vandalism by any stretch of the imagination. I also left a note for you on User talk:Lon Watkins ‎ about your inappropriate warning there. I'm not going through the rest of your edits but these warnings are bordering on harassment of well-intending editors and show no WP:AGF. I emplore you to throw a few fewer stones and perhaps focus on a different aspect of editing. Toddst1 (talk) 15:33, 28 December 2016 (UTC)

Hey there. I appreciate your input. On the edit you linked, I left a notice about the edit not being constructive, not calling it vandalism. There is a very important distinction. And you may notice a lot of my notices are about adding unsourced material, which happens a lot and needs to not happen. I left you a response on User talk: Lon Watkins. I want people to know that their edits are being reverted and why they are. I respect your opinion, and I will take it into consideration when I am warning people. --hwalk | talk | contribs 15:42, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
Thanks for your reply. I appreciate your enthusiasm and willingness to take feedback. However, the template you used on the IP was {{uw-disruptive1}}. Clearly, that was not disruptive editing. There are plenty of miscreants and vandals around and these guys aren't among them. Please be kinder to the folks trying to contribute and recognize what they're trying to do, whether or not they have all the details in perfect order. Instead of templating them with a warning, try leaving a kind note pointing them to the way to improve their work. Toddst1 (talk) 16:00, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
I will definitely be more selective with the templates that I use, and I'll try to leave kinder notes. Thanks for the feedback! --hwalk | talk | contribs 16:05, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
