Hello Bojanbis. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Health Care REIT, Inc.".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Health Care REIT, Inc.}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 21:36, 25 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

S&P 500 add dates

[edit]

Hey B, thanks for your hard work to fill out the addition dates in the List of S&P 500 companies article (and your diligent work on that and similar articles generally). My question is, what is your source for that data? Any way you could add it to the reference section of the article? UnitedStatesian (talk) 01:21, 4 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You are welcome. My source is a compustat database; their source is presumably S&P index changes announcements (S&P web page has announcements going back to 2012, but I remember reading them for the first time back in 2005, so they have been public for a long long time). Unfortunately the database only goes back to 3/31/1964 (although clearly some companies have been in the index longer), so for the old-timers like Coca Cola (KO) I don't have the date they were added. I don't know how to add that as a reference, since there's no link for the particular database one could click to verify the data. Bojanbis (talk) 02:07, 4 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You don't need to add a link; just use {{citation}} (I suggest at the column heading, where I added the {{Citation needed}} tag) and add the relevant parameters (including Compustat as the publisher, and the access date). Thanks! UnitedStatesian (talk) 15:58, 4 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I tried to do what you asked for, I'm not sure if the format is what you are describing or not. Let me know if any changes are necessary (or if you prefer you can modify yourself).Bojanbis (talk) 14:02, 6 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Looks great, thanks! UnitedStatesian (talk) 12:45, 11 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
