Orphaned non-free media (Image:Scorp.gif)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Scorp.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:25, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

Invitation to visit Right-Wing
[edit]I'll give it a try. There are a lot of Libertarians who contribute to Wikipedia. I'm told that Wikipedia founder Jimbo Wales is a Libertarian. Over the years, I've learned that it is absolutely no use to argue with a Libertarian. They are trained to never give an inch. It's as bad as trying to argue with a Scientologist or a Marxist. What you need to realize is that, to them, the views they assert are axioms. All you can do is revert the worst of the POV and insist that they cite sources. With two of us, the job of watchdog will be easier. Rick Norwood (talk) 15:33, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
Image source problem with Image:Mickey-mouse-bugs-bunny-113.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Mickey-mouse-bugs-bunny-113.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 01:21, 4 December 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fastily (talk) 01:21, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
Trapdoor spider image/text
[edit]Bobisbob2, if you have an image where a cork lid door is shown, feel free to upload it and place it on the article. But just a reminder, cork lid doors arent a feature always found in conjunction with these spiders(ie. Cyrtaucheniidae). -- Arachnowhat (talk) 22:23, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with File:Pete.gif
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Pete.gif. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Speedy deletion of Dent Myers
[edit]A tag has been placed on Dent Myers requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Quanage (talk) 16:40, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
Hi, regarding your edit [1]: The Template:Communism sidebar is not an infobox, but a navigation template, therefore it cannot be at the very top of an article. Moreover below in the article, there is a twin Template:Communism with exactly the same items and I do not see a reason to have both templates in one article; the later template is more conform with other Wikipedia navigation templates and less disturbing, therefore I prefer it over the Template:Communism sidebar. Best regards,--Ioannes Pragensis (talk) 16:38, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
A template is a type of infobox and it is better as the lead for an article on an idelogy than an image. Communism is not a physcial thing. Bobisbob2 (talk) 16:45, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
Fascism in the political spectrum
[edit]The RfC on Fascism#Fascism in the political spectrum has now run one month and there are now two versions of the intro para:
- Most scholars do not find the terms right and left very useful with regard to fascism, which incorporated elements of both left and right, rejected the main currents of leftist and rightist politics, and attracted adherents from both ends of the political spectrum. Hence, fascism can be called sui generis. Some scholars do place fascism squarely on the right or left.
- Most academics describe fascism as extreme right, radical right, far right or ultra right; some calling it a mixture of authoritarian conservatism and right-wing nationalism. However, there exists a dissenting view that fascism represents radical centrism. Moreover, a number of writers highlight aspects of some types of fascist ideology which may typically be associated with the left.
Could you please comment at Talk:Fascism#RfC.
- Following this RfC, there is currently a proposal regarding the issue of whether or not it is appropriate to characterise fascism as "right-wing".
- Even if you don't have much to say, it would be useful if you could let your view be known in order to help guide the discussion towards some sort of conclusion.
- Please take a look: here.
- Thank you. --FormerIP (talk) 23:05, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
Hello, Bobisbob2. Would you mind participating in the above linked discussion in this section? I did remove the image you added to the Sexual intercourse article, but only because there have been objections to including live pictures of sexual intercourse to that article before...and, because of this, whether or not to include one should be discussed first. Oh OK the main reason why I thought that he could stay on there is because he was already on there at the time. And even though he's relatively new he was used as an significant threat and an dangerous enemy and he was normally talked about as an big timer. Perhaps because he was the closest one to kill or damage Spider-Man and is one of the strongest enemies. Kind of like what Bane or Doomsday is and has done. But hey whatever. Sometimes it doesn't matter how recurring they are but what they have done and how dangerous they were to the superhero. Kraven never lasted that long either. And Morlun was adopted in an book that does makes him other media. But hey I am just rambling I don't really care and I don't think it really matters that much. If it was up to me Spenser Smythe wouldn't be there. Captain Virtue (talk) 18:42, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Female-buttocks.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Female-buttocks.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-enwikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. IngerAlHaosului (talk) 05:41, 26 February 2010 (UTC)

anarchism template
[edit]how is spooner more important to anarchism than Errico Malatesta? His influence doesnt go beyond the United States while Malatesta is influential besides italy, and Europe also in South America. Malatesta has even been put between the most important anarchists of all time as you can see for example in the anarchy Archives where he is listed as a main figure while Spooner is in the section "Bright But Lesser Lights" [1]. To argue something like this shows you just dont know that well the history of anarchism.--Eduen (talk) 16:53, 24 March 2010 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The file File:Lizard ultimate.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Fails WP:NFCC 3a and 8. Not substantially different from the depiction of the character in the infobox. There are several images of the figure in slightly different illustration styles; one at most is needed.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. The Squirrel Conspiracy (talk) 09:12, 26 April 2020 (UTC)
