Please don't remove the maintenance templates as you did here [1]. They are placed in order to encourage others to improve the article. You're doing a good job so far, but we want to encourage other people with an interest in these subjects to improve the articles as well. As they stand, they don't really include any reliable third-party sources to establish notability. - Burpelson AFB 10:10, 1 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Soundpainting, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. Please stop removing maintenance templates. This article is full of peacock terms and uncited claims, including what appears to be marketing copy. Sentences like "Thompson's work over the next 7 years with Anthony Braxton was the most important of his life." are not examples of encyclopedic writing. - Burpelson AFB 17:39, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. Continuing to remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Walter Thompson (composer), without resolving the problem that the template refers to may be considered disruptive editing. Further edits of this type may result in your being blocked from editing Wikipedia. You have been asked several times now to stop removing maintenance templates. Please read the list of policies or request a mentor if you are confused or unsure. Continued removal of the maintenance templates without resolving the issues is a blockable offense. - Burpelson AFB 17:43, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Walter Thompson (composer) has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. - Burpelson AFB 17:44, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Soundpainting requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.soundpainting.com/history/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
