External links
[edit]I've read your remark in User talk:Ghirlandajo page.
Please keep in mind that wikipedia is not a web directory and adding external links to the same website into multiple articles is considered spam in wikipedia and commonly frowned upon. Our goal is to create a self-contained encyclopedia. There are zillions of webpages all over 'net, and every wikipedia article could well have more external links than words in it.
I understand your desire to improve wikipedia, but unfortunately adding many links is a common mistake of newcomers. Please add actual text into articles.
BTW, iw you were named "Site of the Year", please write an article about your website, Alexanderpalace or Alexanderpalace.org. Please be sure to include third-party references about its notability.
Also, it would be helpful to make better description what exactly you are adding into external links. For example, in Olga Valerianovna Paley you added "Memories of Russia - by Princess Paley". I guess these are her memoirs. Is it a book or a transcribed manuscript or what? `'mikka (t) 04:25, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
