General Rules for the Interpretation of the Harmonized System
[edit]Hi, Thanks for your comments concerning a possible copyright infringement on the General Rules for the Interpretation of the Harmonized System. The intention of the page was to link readers to the actual rules that are referred to twice on https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Harmonized_System. Any suggestions on how to make the explicit rules available on Wikipedia? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hsmind (talk • contribs) 15:11, 5 February 2016 (UTC)
The article Garamond you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Garamond for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already been on the main page as an "In the news" or "Did you know" item, you can nominate it to appear in Did you know. notable
[edit]Hello and thank you. If I add some citations or text from any journalists will it be helpful to confirm notable status? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Everbesmile (talk • contribs) 20:56, 7 February 2016 (UTC)
tks, and heads-up
[edit]Hey. Tks for your addition to the new stub Max Jensen, which I created to fill out a redlink in The Oceanides. I dunno if you noticed, but your cite book template wasn't exactly correctly filled out, see diff, esp. the author's name, and there's no need for an accessdate. Cheers & tks agaib! Lingzhi ♦ (talk) 13:57, 6 February 2016 (UTC)
- @Lingzhi: - thanks! Sorry, I was just quickly rifling through new articles and autofilled it thinking I should get a citation on there before I passed it. Blythwood (talk) 21:36, 7 February 2016 (UTC)
- I genuinely appreciate your work. I just didn't know if you knew. Tks! Lingzhi ♦ (talk) 00:21, 8 February 2016 (UTC)

Review
[edit]Hi Blythwood. Many thanks for the review! There's not a lot known about Reid at the moment, but he has today been announced as the new Top Gear presenter, so I'm hopeful that more info will be available soon to expand the article. --LegereScire (talk) 12:16, 11 February 2016 (UTC)
- @LegereScire: - that's completely fine. I realise that and the number of sources in the article looks fine to me. Blythwood (talk) 12:17, 11 February 2016 (UTC)
Font samples template
[edit]Hello! Recently I found that many of font specimen, like this image, were created by you. I want to do the same job with Cyrillic glyphs, since I participate in Russian Wikipedia and Latin samples are not very useful. The design of these cards is very nice, and I wanted to ask you, does some kind of template exist? Maybe it is possible just to switch the font in it for each sample? And what kind of software do you use for it? — Euref (talk) 01:37, 9 February 2016 (UTC)
- @Euref: - ah, it's horribly simple. Since I want software that I am used to and I can get easily I just use Microsoft Word, assembling together the image from text boxes. Then export to pdf and crop, then export to image. Not a great system, but I'm not a professional graphic designer and it works. I style my images on the great work of GearedBull, who is no longer using Wikipedia; he did his in Quark Xpress I believe. For the Bembo image, I actually took one of his images (of the same font but a worse digitisation of it) and slowly substituted the font samples for mine bit by bit. I'm not sure this is the best way to do it though! Blythwood (talk) 12:25, 11 February 2016 (UTC)
Question about my submission
[edit]Hello Blythwood, Thank you for commenting on my initial submission. I'm hoping this is the best way to respond to your talk. You suggested that I add citations to my article on Naida Kirkpatrick. I do not have links to interviews at this time but do have links to her published books as well as two Wikipedia articles that list her in the bibliography. I hope that will suffice for now. William Edward Fraser
[edit]Hi there. Bill Fraser is running on a never before attempted platform in a very sought after seat in Illinois's 8th congressional district. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vote4fraser (talk • contribs) 05:46, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
- @Vote4fraser: - sure, but what matters is sources, though you have added some. In addition, parts of the article read as promotional, which isn't right for Wikipedia. I would finish the article and add anything you need to quickly, as you're technically breaking the rules on usernames. Wikipedia usernames aren't allowed to sound promotional or belong to an organisation rather than a specific person, so you may get blocked quite soon automatically and asked to reregister. Blythwood (talk) 05:51, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
- Blythwood I see... in what way is it promotional? Everything added to the article is fact and plays into the campaign he is running on. Vote4fraser (talk) 05:54, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
- "Fraser explained that he is not keeping his salary because he wants voters to know he is doing this for the right reasons" sounds promotional. Blythwood (talk) 05:57, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
- Blythwood It is straight out of both cited press releases, included in one of the cited news papers, and is included in the cited webpage from the official campaign website. It may sound promotional, but it's a large facet of the platform he is running on. Vote4fraser (talk) 06:00, 12 February 2016 (UTC)

Eli Sternberg
[edit]Thanks for the review and additions. There is a lot of info that has been published on Sternberg and his work and I just wanted to at least get a stub in place, but will probably add more too. Thanks again. Agricola44 (talk) 20:30, 4 February 2016 (UTC).
- @Agricola44: - no worries. It's a good basic article. Blythwood (talk) 04:35, 13 February 2016 (UTC)
John Robertson (composer)
[edit]I am in Mexico at the moment and unable to get at papers I have regarding John Robertson. I won't be home in Canada again until the beginning of March. Since a friend had set up the page for Mr Robertson I thought I would at least get some material on it. If it gets deleted in the meantime, so be it; I'll start again in March, with citations.
Thanks Grouhand Grouhand (talk) 14:18, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
- @Grouhand: - OK, thanks. The article text is kept so you can ask an admin to rerelease the text in March - enjoy your time in Mexico. Sorry about this - as you can imagine pages for living people get looked at carefully Blythwood (talk) 04:35, 13 February 2016 (UTC)

Thanks for the thoughtful categorization of Shahnama of Shah Tahmasp.

A7 speedies
[edit]Hey, I had to decline the speedy for Race Wars story since it's a book series, as book series can't fall under A7. The series is definitely non-notable, but it's one of those tricky areas where I had to decline it based on a technicality. I've nominated it for AfD, if you want to weigh in there. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 08:29, 13 February 2016 (UTC)
- @Tokyogirl79: - ah, sorry. Deeply creepy Turner Diaries style nonsense and I was scrambling for some response. Blythwood (talk) 08:37, 13 February 2016 (UTC)
- No worries - no major harm done and ultimately the article really is non-notable, so it'll get deleted one way or another. We've been trying to figure out a way to write a speedy criteria for books for a while now, but there's no truly good way to go about justifying it. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 09:01, 13 February 2016 (UTC)

Anne Fuller
[edit]Hey. Thanks. Most welcome to add references. Initally all I could find was people quoting her as a gothic writer. And Yes...the quote about being a key author was from the reference given at that point but apparently I forgot to finish saying that. I'm afk but when I'm back I'll add that. 🍺 Antiqueight chat 10:02, 19 February 2016 (UTC)
- @Antiqueight: - no problem! It's just the kind of overarching statement I realised I had to watch out for making myself when writing undergraduate essays! Incidentally, the Perils of the Night book does look quite interesting as a brief commentary on her work, if you hadn't already seen it. Baker also describes her work as modelled on Sophia Lee's The Recess which might be a good topic to go down if you were looking for a way to expand the article... Blythwood (talk) 19:26, 19 February 2016 (UTC)
- You have the advantage of me there - I never had such essays - I am making this all up as I go - v. different from my forte of maths and physics and such like. Honestly, I have no idea how to expand the article other than the basic facts and a little colour where I can find it. But many people seem to have studied her work especially in relation to the development of the gothic novel and the implications of the Act of Union on gothic novels (in Ireland) in general...There was(brain not remembering) also another writer listed as someone who might have influenced her as well, another work that hers could be borrowing from. But how much to say and how much is me writing an essay on a writer I haven't read..I am more than willing to take instruction on the idea.... 🍺 Antiqueight chat 22:15, 19 February 2016 (UTC)
Short Story Titles
[edit]You italicized the title of the recently-created "The Great Sage, Heaven's Equal". Your intentions are appreciated but please do not do that anymore -- short story titles are not italicised per convention, much like song titles. Cheers Kingoflettuce (talk) 09:51, 20 February 2016 (UTC)
Michiana Paranormal Investigations Page Revisions
[edit]I hope this is the best way to contact you. Thank you for your time in looking at the page created Michiana Paranormal Investigations . I am still new to writing these articles. I am trying to revise the page similar to The Atlantic Paranormal Society as we are the exact same of organization minus the TV show. If you can give me any suggestions on how to revise the page so that a page deletion does not occur I would appreciate it. Also, if there is more time to work on it I would appreciate that as well. I am not sure how to add it to a category as well. Thank you for your time! Uediver (talk) 03:06, 21 February 2016 (UTC)

Beatrhyme communications article
[edit]Hello this is Jaron. This organization is a company that has been started by well known members of the beatbox community. They have made a name for themselfs as a company having promoted and trained some well known iconic beatboxers and vocalists. Alot of the artists in the organization are world championship beatboxers and have performed with big names such as Cee Lo Green,Doug E Fresh,Biz Markie and Reggie Watts. Some of them have even been featured on the pbs television show "the electric company". I am not a member of the organization so this is not self promotion.

- @Jaron Felix Patton: - sure, what we need is reliable sources not written by this company - all of those seem to be self-authored. WP:CORP is the guide for what a company needs to be before a Wikipedia article on it is a good idea. Blythwood (talk) 23:18, 23 February 2016 (UTC)
