[edit]This page should not be speedily deleted because... (It doesn't break any rules/laws, i just went through all your terms and rules and stuff. what i posted are just fun facts about Dallin. Nothing personal dangerous. I promise, also is there a way u can change the title of my page to Dallin Pond! thx!) --Blueyedpond
- Hi there, I saw your post and thought I'd reply as I'm an administrator here on Wikipedia. First off, if you are DP, you've got a great voice! Secondly, Wikipedia isn't interested in knowing about you (or me) I'm afraid. This is an encyclopaedia with 6 million articles about 6 million notable things - it isn't Facebook, you see, so anything anyone posts about themselves has to be relevant to our purpose of building an encyclopaedia, based upon what Reliable sources say about the topic. So, you can't use your userpage to write about and promote yourself, and so your page was deleted for your own protection. You may recreate it, but only if you plan to edit and improve the encyclopaedia. If all you want to do it to post fun facts about yourself, then my sincere advice is simply to leave and go elsewhere. If you decide to stay and help out - brilliant - we need more young, seriously-minded new editors. But you might like to read WP:YOUNG - some guidance about young editors, and the importance of not sharing personal details. Although I personally edit under my real name, very few people do here, and this is certainly not advisable for a young person, which I assume you to be. I hope this helps. We do have a friendly help forum we call the Teahouse where you can always get further advice on how to edit Wikipedia pages. (Start slowly and build up gently into making big edits that change things a lot! And do try out our interactive tour at The Wikipedia Adventure).
