Welcome to my talk page
[edit]Wikipedia has extended a welcome to me, and I, in turn and extending one out to you. I am hoping to lend some of my expertise to the definintions present in this resource. I am a nutrition scientist, you can read more about about my background on my website, The Blonz Guide. My training and background are in the fields of nutrition, biochemistry and health, but I also work as a journalist, writing a syndicated Q&A column responding to reader questions. As such I have to stay up on the latest scientific offerings and endeavor to explain heady concepts in a way that the public can easily digest. I will continue to work as time allows, but let me know if you find a particular topic in need of immediate attention.
Stay well

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Edward R. Blonz, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://blonz.com/bio.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 20:36, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Edward R. Blonz
[edit]A tag has been placed on Edward R. Blonz requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. About Edward R. Blonz
[edit]I am attempting to add accurate personal information, some of which also occurs on my own website, blonz.com. I apologize if this was done incorrectly. I am a former professor and nationally syndicated columnist, and also work as an expert for several government organizations. I have seen others with lesser credentials on Wikipedia and had wondered how this happens. Friends had told me that one has to do it themself, so there you have it. Please let me know how to proceed here. Blonz (talk)
- Actually, this article is in violation of two rules. The first rule is WP:COPYVIO. In short a wikipedia article must never be a direct copy from a source that has no free liscence. Second, and perhaps more important, is that this article is both based upon a self punished source WP:RS and at the same time an Autobiography. Autobiographies are strongly discouraged, and are most times removed. As often put: If you are truly notable, then someone will start an article about you sooner or later :) Excirial (Talk,Contribs) 23:01, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
About Edward R. Blonz
[edit]No problem. I will abide by the rules. The "direct copy" is my own site so there is no problem as I hold the copyright. The article contains public information, but it was self published.

Unexplained blanking
[edit]Hello, I'm SummerPhD. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Coconut oil without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! SummerPhD (talk) 04:02, 28 August 2014 (UTC)
Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to coconut oil, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. ~Amatulić (talk) 17:22, 28 August 2014 (UTC)

[edit]Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Please make sure to include an edit summary with every edit. Please provide one before saving your changes to an article, even if it is very brief, as the summaries are quite helpful to people browsing an article's history.
The edit summary appears in:
- User contributions
- Recent changes
- Watchlists
- Revision differences
- IRC channels
- Related changes
- New pages list and
- Article editing history
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. Thanks! SummerPhD (talk) 00:22, 29 August 2014 (UTC)
Wikipedia
[edit]You wrote here about "your interests".
That language was very apt.
Please read Wikipedia:Conflicts of interest (medicine) and then let me know your thoughts, just below here. Thanks. Jytdog (talk) 20:28, 5 December 2017 (UTC)
