- Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
- Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.
Happy editing! Cheers, Suonii180 (talk) 16:41, 20 September 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Suonii180. I noticed that you recently removed content from Sue Cleaver without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. - Hi, I'm Sue's assistant and she wanted the changes made for factual reasons. She added the shows she now works on and where she was born as well as the fact her name is not Sue Owen, it's Sue Cleaver (it's never been Owen).
- Could we please revert to the edits made?
- Thanks, and apologies for the delay in replying, I only just found this message.
- Thanks, Jo BlanketCoverage2024 (talk) 06:53, 30 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, if you have close connection with the subject of an article then you may have a conflict of interest and it's best if you don't edit the article directly. Instead please discuss any changes you would like to be made at the talk page using Template:Edit COI. I'll leave more information about conflicts of interest in a section below. I've reverted most of the changes as some of your edits removed sourced content. I've left out the comment about her being a good listener as I couldn't see it in the supporting sources and it didn't seem that relevant and I've changed her surname in the lead section to Cleaver as it's not supported by any sources. Conflict of Interest
[edit]Hello, BlanketCoverage2024. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Sue Cleaver, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template)—don't forget to give details of reliable sources supporting your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Suonii180 (talk) 21:28, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, thanks for this. Factually, these are correct, so if the changes could be kept that would be great:
- She was born in Barnet, not Watford
- Under career:
- - She didn't become a therapist because her colleagues told her she was good at listening.
- - She became a regular panelist on Loose Women in 2024
- - She has written a book that was published last Thursday 26 September called 'A Work In Progress' from Bloomsbury
- Under charity:
- She is a patron for the charity 'Prevent Breast Cancer' as well as 'When You Wish Upon A Star' BlanketCoverage2024 (talk) 08:35, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
