Image source problem with Image:Shelley Morrison of Will & Grace and My Name is Earl.jpg

[edit]
Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Shelley Morrison of Will & Grace and My Name is Earl.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 13:20, 14 April 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. The Helpful One (Review) 13:20, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading Image:Shelley Morrison of Will & Grace and My Name is Earl.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. The Helpful One (Review) 13:20, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have just reverted all of your edits. The images will most likely be deleted soon. I suggest you read WP:NFC before posting any more images, especially those with watermarks. Dismas|(talk) 18:05, 17 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Image:Tom Sizemore of Shooting Sizemore and Saving Private Ryan copy.jpg, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:Tom Sizemore of Shooting Sizemore and Saving Private Ryan copy.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Polly (Parrot) 21:02, 17 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, there may be no way, under our policies at WP:5P and WP:SPAM, to make any article with the title you propose. I'ts probably not a notable web site or company. If you wish, you can start to contruct it at User:Blainhowardjs2comm/Sandbox and then ask any admin to review your draft. Bearian (talk) 16:13, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I must concur with Bearian's advice. The original article didn't really talk about the company and what they do. Rather, it gave an overview of the company's growth and a brief biography of its CEO. To have an article that meets our policies, you'll need to find some reliable sources, independent of the subject, that discuss the company and why it is notable or unique. I'm not finding any sources of this type, but there may be more out there than Google would indicate - maybe some news articles? Also, the article must be neutral, in that it's not written from a particular perspective. The deleted article reads in part as if it were a press release from the company about itself, which does not meet our standard for neutrality. If you do find some sources, please feel free to work up a draft article - then, once you have the information you want to include in place, another editor can review it and provide assistance. Hi, I'd like to help you improve your article. Mind if I edit it? Nobody of Consequence (talk) 00:13, 11 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks that would be very helpful! Blainhowardjs2comm (talk) 15:49, 11 July 2008 (UTC) blainhowardjs2comm[reply]

Ok, I've done some work and I think it looks better. Hopefully other folks will think so too. The refs seem fine to me. When you're ready to move it to livespace, let me know. I think we should name the article simply EyeBuyDirect, and leave off the .com, to avoid those nasty WP:SPAM issues. Nobody of Consequence (talk) 00:47, 12 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much, I appreciate your help. I am trying to move to livespace right now - your help with that would also be appreciated.

Already done. Have a look EyeBuyDirect.com. I redirected the one you created to the one with .com... I thought about it and since we have an article about Amazon.com, can't see what the problem would be with this title. Cheers! Nobody of Consequence (talk) 20:46, 14 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Great, hopefully it will stay up now. Best regards.
